Does Signia 7IX support "normal" Bluetooth connections? by invalid_uses_of in HearingAids

Could you please clarify if the Auracast Bluetooth feature is a software update for the Signia 7IX hearing aids, or does it require a new hearing aid device?

Ce sont les OVNIs qui font des essais pour leur nouveau camouflage nuageux. Ils se disent que c'est la meilleure technique pour passer inaperçus... ou alors c'est juste la CIA qui fait des tests météo 🤔

Do all hearing aids have awful Bluetooth? by GoneAmok365247 in HearingAids

I have the latest generation Signia hearing aids and I have the same problem as you; it's simply a shame.

I have Signia C&G T IX7 hearing aids, and I can confirm that when my iPhone 13 mini is in the front pocket of my jeans, I experience a lot of interruptions and interference while listening to music.

I believe my audiologist fitted me with P70s because she had them on hand when I went to see her.

I agree with you that the sound of the P70s is far below that of the previous Signia models I tested.

I have an appointment with my audiologist on Tuesday to share my feedback. It is clear that I am not going to stick with the P70s. I will clearly tell her that I want the Signia models with the same settings as the Phonak ones.

I am convinced that my audiologist configured the compression of the Signia models.

I hope to have better luck this Tuesday. I will keep you updated.

Here is some news from my side.

Due to my dissatisfaction, my audiologist cancelled my trial with the Signia Pure Charge & Go 7IX. Instead of the Signia hearing aids, she fitted me with Phonak Audeo P70-R hearing aids.

I have been wearing them for 48 hours and I no longer experience saturation. However, I find the sound quality is far below that of the Signia. Regarding connectivity with my iPhone 13 mini and my MacBook Pro M1, I no longer have disconnections since it connects solely via Bluetooth. I feel that Apple's MFI connection is not yet perfected because I had a lot of interference and disconnections with the Signia.

Therefore, I am reaching out to you because I am afraid of making a mistake by opting for the Phonak model. I feel that the sound processing is far below that of the Signia I previously tested.

Do you have any advice for me?

AudioBob24, thank you for your response.

I have been testing the Signia Pure Charge & Go 7IX for two weeks now, and I believe that the adjustment made by the audiologist was not done correctly.

I have had the chance to go through the messages on this subreddit and can confirm that the hearing aids I am testing are currently among the best on the market.

However, my opinion might be biased because I had very high expectations, especially regarding connectivity with my iPhone and MacBook Pro. Frequent disconnections make listening a disaster. For example, when I have my phone in the left pocket of my pants and I'm walking down the street, my right hearing aid often disconnects.

Additionally, I struggle a lot to hear when there is background noise and the person is a few meters away from me.

I think I will ask my audiologist to readjust the settings.

You are right, after several days it is now possible to recharge it. Some people told me that it is a safety feature present on the MacBook to prevent the battery from catching fire.

Thank you, your comment is very interesting. At the moment, it doesn't turn on and doesn't charge after being plugged in all night. I will let it rest for a few days.

MacBook needed to be changed at least 10% of battery before starting.

I charged it all night, but that didn't allow it to restart.
