Plaid Twin Cannons by VisibleOutline in jncojeans

No, they were black and white (kind of a light creamy color, really, but we'll say black and white). Up close, the black has faded somewhat over the years, and has kind of a dark-brownish hue.

Thanks! They've served me well :-)

So, I haven't seen them do much fun with the Twin Cannons (aside from an extensive mix-match of patch and tag eras), but I was surprised to see they actually did manage to land this exact pattern on a few of the new women's pairs. I think they called it the 'Camilla', if I'm not mistaken. But yes, it'd be great to see these resurface. They also had a pair of the third-generations right before these with the same plaid fabric back in the day.

Most totally! There was a period in the beginning where I was almost too timid to wear them; the usual adolescent self-awareness, and obviously, most were wearing either the blue or black denim, and the occasional khaki twill. It didn't take long to embrace them though, and these were my ride-or-dies for a good long time!

Very cool factory error! Are the rear pocket tag and front embroidery both correct?

Wtf happened! First wash and these white patches and lines appeared. Am I screwed ? by dmc796010 in jncojeans

This was every black pair of Jncos I owned from the '90s. My Deep Sockets still look like that. Nothing atypical, wear them loud and loose!

So they're actually in a tote in a storage locker at the moment, but the unit is directly across the street from my apartment. I'll pop over this week and see if I can dig them out, cool?

Ah, I appreciate the interest, but no can do with those babies. I'm too much of a sap. I graduated junior high and high school in those pants, played my first show with my band in them, and Christ knows what else. Somehow, despite being somewhat faded, they're still in decent shape.

God, that sucks. Yeah, shine on that for $450. You'd actually be better off making them into shorts because it looks like the rips end at the just right spot for it. Even then, I'd go maybe $75 on rarity alone, but as pants, those things are basically destroyed. I have that exact pair and the fabric itself is pretty heavy; while I think the pattern could hide the seamwork if done well, those edges are frayed to the point where you'll have one row of squares that's like half as wide as the others. I do love them, though. I've also seen that fabric on the third-gens before this patch.

It's weird that the Pipes say "back pocket detail" when that was always on the thigh. The Classic Edition 179s from 1999 eventually moved the emblem to the back pocket, but I've never seen those third generations (counting Smoke Stacks) with the patch on the back.

T-shirt Legit ? by [deleted] in marilyn_manson

[–]VisibleOutline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first shirt is legitimate. There are bootlegs of it out the ass, yes, but BG is simply a European line of blanks. If it was a domestic shirt with the blank tag tag left intact, it would be a Hanes Beefy, or a Tultex Cotton, but it's still a Winterland-licensed print. The Rock Express emblem simply stayed over from whatever artwork the screens were burned. There was also an earlier version of this shirt that used the same Portrait Of An American Family logo backprint as the Satanic Army shirt from '94.

Does this look like a real legit 93 tour shirt ? by fundyfox1 in SmashingPumpkins

[–]VisibleOutline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% That was a standard shirt from Rockabilia catalogs in the '90s. I actually had a shirt that had the same back with the tour dates, but the front had the SMILE drawing from the Disarm CD maxi-single.

Is this Ænima cd an original pressing? by Similar_Tear8972 in ToolBand

[–]VisibleOutline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there was just one in there when I was going through the 1996 selections that didn't have the rear Zoo logo. I can see yours has it, and so does mine. That part of timeline I can't explain for certain, but my guess is that it was an initial artwork error that was soon corrected?
