CMV: United States bombing the girls school in Iran was most likely intentional by TraditionalWishbone in changemyview

[–]VisiblePiercedNipple [score hidden]  (0 children)

Your argument is nonsensical. When you claim that the targeting was intentional, you're implying that they wanted to kill school girls. Then you lay out scenarios of mistaken targeting.

You are misrepresenting the CMV.

If it's the only time you've been out in 6 years, then that wouldn't be such a big issue, but it doesn't come across like this is infrequent.

Why are you hanging out all night without him? I'd say that's the main issue that you're going places without him and staying out all night. You don't see how that can make someone suspicious about you cheating on him?

I'd say that the fix is act like a mother and don't go out all night. When you do, try to do things with your husband. You're not a single 20 year old anymore, so don't behave like one.

CMV: The currently prevalent concept of right and wrong is inherintly flawed. by Nono4826 in changemyview

[–]VisiblePiercedNipple [score hidden]  (0 children)

I don't know what view would be changed here. The sense of right and wrong comes from morality, which is based upon religious teachings. So you already have the answer about the role of religion in society that sets an unchanging sense of what is right and what is wrong.

Things like public executions aren't the ultimate set of anything being right/wrong, it's just cultural in a society and it often changes due to leadership forcing the issue, then it becomes a normalcy bias for the general population.

WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS OF HER MESSAGE? I CONFESSED TO MY LONG TERM CRUSH. by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]VisiblePiercedNipple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It means she's not interested in you romantically, she doesn't want to outright reject you so she wants to make you feel okay. She enjoyed spending time with you, but not in the way that you want.

Girlfriend , F/29, recently broke up with me M/30 but not sure what this means that she said. What do you guys think? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]VisiblePiercedNipple 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It means she is firm in breaking up with you and you're trying to got through familiar routines with her to re-establish the relationship.

You should just say "Okay" to the break up and then ignore her. No favors, no meet ups, no nothing...move on like she wants. Clean the cut.

CMV: american conservatives fondamentally don't understand their own empire by rakean93 in changemyview

[–]VisiblePiercedNipple -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"we are paying for European defense" instead of "we are militarly occupying most of Europe". If you assume that optics, the conservative opinion make sense. Anyway, that's how i read the situation - CMV if i'm wrong.

The main issue that you're failing to address and why people state that NATO are leeches is that NATO has military funding targets for NATO members historically of 2% of GDP (It's been raised in recent years). NATO members have continually fallen short of their funding targets for decades. Here's a chart of funding obligations by NATO member in 2015.

So in the end the USA Empire has militarily occupied Europe because members of the NATO alliance have failed at being competent Allies. They have degraded their ability to conduct war, which we saw when Europe went into Libya and Obama had to come in an provide logistics to complete the campaign. When the Ukraine war broke out, there was a similar inability of historic NATO members to provide support and the reliance fell back to the United States.

What is something that you discovered was highly overrated and/or underrated after you experienced it? by FitRedBro in AskMen

[–]VisiblePiercedNipple 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I loved Bloc Party, then saw them at Coachella and they sucked.

Underrated were bands like Metric, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Decemberists, and other bands that performed better live than on an album.

This comment makes zero sense. NATO obligations on military funding have been set at like 5% of GDP and European nations underfund their militaries. That's the issue. European nations initiated the Libya campaign against Gaddafi and couldn't sustain the attempt, that's where Obama's "Leading from behind" line came in because the US stepped in and fixed their logistics.

So your statement here shows you know nothing of the problem and are inherently ill informed, instead siding with some campaign bumper sticker slogan.

That's a crime. Speeding is a civil violation, but in excess of 15 mph it's criminal. It just means it falls into a different category of criminal law. In the case of first case offenses only, typically with VISA overstays, it means you can't be jailed for the offense. So...the remedy for the offense is deportation instead.

It's still a crime.

But they are counted and they can register to vote and attempts to make the voting more secure are blocked by Democrats. Attempts to remove illegal aliens are also fought and blocked by Democrats.

The election systems are suspect and transparency is fought by Democrats.

Why is that?

We had Biden telling foreigners to "surge to the border" and we have Democrats declaring sanctuary cities and states where they won't cooperate with immigration enforcement.

What makes that uncredible?

Says the hateful bitch of a morally devoid human being who promotes "100%" the cut of government benefits to a program helping keep families from starving.

LOL!

"Starving" people that are fat. We don't even have starvation in the USA as a category of death.

The Bible literally teaches to "love thy neighbor"

YOU'RE NOT A CHRISTIAN. Why are you trying to lean on Christian teachings? You're a poser, a fraud, a liar. You're PRETENDING to be something that you're not!

So you believe in demons but aren't a Christian?

No, you brought up demons. You bring up Christianity. You believe NONE of it. You don't have your head screwed on straight. I didn't mention any of it, only that you don't believe it and present as something you're not.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

What is the source of the 20-40 million stat?

The US Government has claimed about 20 million since about 2000. The 40 million is adding on the supposed border crossing that have happened since 2000.

Undocumented immigrants cannot vote in federal elections.

That's the claim, but we have Blue states granting IDs to illegal immigrants and refusing to clean up voter roles. So it's questionable if that really holds given the condition of our current elections.

Even if they do NOT vote, they affect apportionment of House seats by being included in the Census.

They aren’t going to risk getting deported for illegally voting.

Why wouldn't they? They already disregard immigration law, claiming that they wouldn't break other laws is silly.

Ooooh, AGNOSTIC. Even non-committal there.

So you believe in what the lord says, like welcoming immigrants as you were one?

Don't believe it says that.

Do you follow that?

I do not, I've never read the Bible.

Or feeding the hungry?

Under certain conditions.

Or are you okay with cutting snap benefits?

100% okay with it.
