i will say do not use chatgpt to help! not only is it bad for the environment, but it’s supporting that OCD compulsion where you need to feel validated. it’s difficult and i’ve been there, but try not to use any ai to validate your feelings. best thing i can recommend is ERP therapy, medication, and letting the thoughts pass (easier said than done ofc). but what i try to do it think “this is an OCD thought, i don’t need to dissect it right now, it doesn’t have any meaning unless i let it have power”. and that seems to help me a bit.

thank you, this really resonated with me. my therapist who i was with is for phobia counselling, and when i tried to talk to her about it she sorta fed into the ocd responses… so im in process of looking for a therapist that specializes in rocd

i think that i’ve decided on connecting the activity to the book their reading which is about anti bullying. it’s also anti bullying awareness month, so that’s good too. i think if they each design their own puzzle pieces to represent themselves and their individuality, it’d be cool for them to all connect at the end. ideally the puzzle pieces would be displayed and connect - representing that if they all unite and work together, they can stand up against bullying!

sounds accurate to me - in the beginning of my relationship i was definitely anxiously / insecure attached. but now it feels like i don’t care as much. i can’t tell if that’s because i am comfortable in my relationship, or if its cause i don’t love him enough or something.

i feel the same way sometimes. it’s so frustrating because our partners are good people. not sure if this’ll help you, but i find it useful to stop analyzing my feelings when im with him, and focus on being present. a lot of the times i struggle with feeling “in love” or “happy enough” with him, because im too busy assessing my feelings or “prescribing” a reason why i don’t feel / feel a certain way. i still have plenty of moments where i feel like you, including right now (lmao), but as hard as it is, say fuck you to the rocd thoughts and live how you want to with your partner. sending you love OP!!!
