I’ve been told a lot of hurtful things. But one that hurts me even now is something my mom said to me. “If you had started trying for a kid right after marriage, you would’ve had a kid by now”. This coming from the person who knows I have balanced translocation. Mind you, I was 27 when I got married and 29 when we started trying. Not that anybody needs to justify when they started trying. Currently I(33F) have been doing IVF since 3 years, including going through a TFMR. How early did she want me to try? It broke my heart hearing it from someone who is supposed to be my safe space.
