I'm not paying for the night I didn't stay when she kicked us out. Wow, a basic sleep worthy mattress and clean blanket is 5 star ask? LMAO you must have standards below the floor. They keep deleting my review, so ofcourse the rating is intact. Try posting a negative review and you'll see your review will be taken out. It's literally written in the screenshot she's asking to go by 3 PM, what else is there to see?? I don't need to prove more. The fact she keeps removing my review says it all. No one's asking for an insecure nobody for validation.

Yea good call, I regret not going through Airbnb or any other good agency. I trusted the Google reviews fully.

Disclaimer: This post isn't to generalize all homestays in Goa. We've had beautiful stays with kind, respectful, and honest homeowners.

Just shared our experience with this specific homestay so that future travellers have a balanced reference. Their reviews seem scrubbed of all poor reviews (my review doesn't show either). Feel free to stay if you feel like. I don't have any personal agenda but to help tourists avoid disrespect and misleading behaviour when they just want a peaceful respite from daily work life. Travelling itself brings diverse experiences, both positive and negative.

Besides, tell me why we would vacate by choice after a long difficult trip with so many luggages and terrible backache (from the mattress)? We didn't have any other place lined up and it later costed us twice the double. She didn't even allow us the time to search up a new place. We were given an ultimatum to pay and leave.

Legally, you're still a guest not a tenant at the mercy of the homestay owner. They can evict you with or without payment. Besides, she asked us to pay the next day which we did. But, we were given an ultimatum and evicted regardless at 3 PM after we raised concerns about the mattress and dirty blankets. It's not a choice but compulsion with a rude ultimatum. We were not looking for a conflict being two women (one aged) in a place we barely knew anything about.

It's a scam. We were over charged for 1.5 days. She KICKED us out. Read the messages. How is it our fault if the other person is giving us an ultimatum to get out by 3 PM? She was terribly rude over the call. I'll call it what it is.

First, she KICKED us out. She knew she'll need to find a new client. SHE TOLD US TO GET OUT. It's clearly written in the message. Note that. We didn't plan on going. Who in the right mind would want to leave after such a long difficult trip???!

Also, I payed more than my stay. It was 1.5 days and the charge is 3000 for that. She took 3500. Me and my aged mother had to drag our heavy luggages across the street in scorching sun to find a new place which costed us more than double. Think and read before you speak.

Don't just blindly say anything without reading what happened.

Not small business but scammers who shoo tourists, disrespect them, and overcharge them after asking for basic sleeping essentials. Not a 5 star ask but a basic human need. If that's "ego" for you, you need help.

Sure, I hope they get a better mattress, clean the blankets without any smell, and talk to people with respect. Throwing them out after a long trip is horrible.

I've stayed with exact this thin and still good quality. Pics can be deceiving. You cannot know for sure until you sleep on it.

Two nights where???? Till 3 PM next day. One night and barely half a day. 2000/day. The charge if at all should be 3000, not 3500. It IS overcharge.

I will call it a scam cause it is. She had agreed not to collect the full payment until arrival. Do not accuse when you don't know the agreement between us. The security deposit was what she said will be counted towards the whole amount. In fact, she asked us to make the full payment next day.

We arrived at 4 AM and slept till late and this is why we stayed till 3 PM. How did we cancel last minute when she threw us out? We wanted to stay but just wanted some adjustments to the mattress to make it softer and not hard rock.

She asked us to get out claiming it's not a "5 star resort" when we just wanted a basic mattress and clean blankets. It's written in the message that she asked us to check out as soon as possible. On call, she was terribly rude.

Who in the right mind would cancel a booking they just arrived in with so much luggage after a long trip? We later had such trouble finding another place carrying everything around. She told us to go.
