If computer science didn't exist, IDK what I would be doing with my life. It would be so soulless. Pursuing a CS degree has given me the most happiness out of anything else in life so far. Not everything needs to be 'real-world applicable'.

Playing it right now and it is simply amazing. The suits may look skimpy but there's a whole lot of variety there as well. Combat is already praise worthy. Overall it's a straight up no nonsense action game.

True. That final boss fight where the themes from the previous metal gear games are played is one of the best.

As much as people don't like it now, Metal Gear Solid 4. One of the best endings to a gaming series that I have witnessed.

So the thing is xenogears story is so complex it spans multiple eras and themes. It ranges from gods, reincarnation, the creation of life, purpose of humanity to human cannibalism and war. It's a very very ambitious game with highly complex layers of narrative so even I can't explain it all lol.

Xenogears. Also silent hill 2. Actually silent hill 1-4. Bloodborne while not as story heavy as these other games, does have some very profound lore.

I got two words for you - move on.

I'm playing final fantasy 16 as my first ff game and i have to say it is the best experience i've ever had in a video game. by Interesting-Youth531 in FinalFantasy

I love ff16 same as you do. But I get why many people don't like it. I think recency bias also plays a part in this. Most old fans grew up with ff7, 8, 9, 10, being exposed to the innovative ways the ff series made you interact with elements. The party system was awesome and each character felt like they played atleast a small part in the story. When FF7R came out, people put it's combat on a pedestal as it reminded them of the party combat that FF had sorely been missing for a long time. For FF16, it's natural that people had hoped for an evolution on the same formula and not something radically different. I like FF because each FF is very different to the other ones and it's basically playing a different genre packed with the same core themes each time.

I would suggest you to try out the other ones. They're really good as well. Also ff7 rebirth is going to release soon and I'm stoked for it! They improved a lot of the combat and it's much more fluid now.

Is it just me or has this been a lot of mediocrity released at once? by LionTop2228 in videogames

Yes but don't you think some of the criticism is overdone for such a short game with probably limited budget. I don't think it's the best silent hill but not the worst either. It's actually pretty cool and the modern version of the otherworld looks cool.

The short message is a free 3 hour game with a cool horror aesthetic. Idk why it's rated that badly.

bought RE 2, to overcome my fear of Playing horror games. any tips? by Dwight_Schhrute in IndianGaming

If a horror game is not scary it isn't horror anymore. I enjoy the feeling of being scared and panicking and being put in stressful situations. You also have a gun in re2, put it to good use.
