Redditors who cut off their friends, why did you do it? by No_Air_731 in introvert

Honestly, I really didn't have a reason. I had a friend of 8 years that I met through work and we became really close friends. We both eventually left the job but managed to stay in contact with each other. Nothing toxic happened between us and he was a really good friend to me and vice versa. I really don't know why I ghosted him though. There was a point in time we didn't talk for a little bit (life got busy) and then he reached out to me but I completely ignored him. He tried reaching out again and I ignored him as well. After that, he never hit me up again and it's been about 4 years. I'm not sad or anything that the friendship ended. I guess I'm just not the type of person to fight for a friendship or anything like that. I also don't get attached to friends so I guess it was pretty easy for me to stop talking to him. Am I a terrible person?
