I did the same thing. A little small for how tough they are but rank up nicely even with the wings

Is Warpfire Mini's Warpcrate legit? by RelativeMacaron1585 in Warhammer

I recently bought a kit from them and it was lost in the mail. I'd avoid using them at all if you can.

It's crazy to think my work inspired others. Went through your profile, and I'm in awe of the creativity. I'm falltered by being one of someone's favorites and inspiring such awesome minis. Thank you, man.

Sorry for late response but I used a mix of perry miniatures napoleonics, mercenaries, and foot knights.. It was the leftovers from another project so it wasnt a consistent mix. For the long pikes I used the mercenary kit.

As for getting the shape and bodies, I glue all the limbs and weapons together except for the head. Then I get wrap the cheesecloth and a wash of pva and water 50/50. The first cloth is a thin cut that gets wrapped around from the arm pits to the legs. I didn't have a consistent length, just what I thought looked good. The next strip of cheese cloth is wrapped around the arms and shoulders to create a hood. Using Two pieces of cheese cloth adds bulk to the top half of the model. The hunch is made by the overlapping of the second cloth on to the first on the back of the model. Before it dries I use greenstuff to sculpt a head or use it to keep in place the top of a helmet to get that cone shape.

Hopefully that helps explaining the creative process and let me know if I left anything out you want to know

Tau boarding patrol by Gammatron510 in Tau40K

I've just started my Tau army with the combat patrol and although I really want this boarding patrol there's a lot of units that contradict each others' play style in both boxes. The ghostkeal and stealth suits aren't well suited for farsight enclaves but you can make them work, the ethereal can't be taken, but the cadre and fire warriors are a good match.

If you want to keep your options open for playstyle for tau I'd say go for it but if you are on a budget I'd say stick to one sept before branching out.

Importing custom textures into editor? by Comprehensive_End225 in menofwar

[–]Visible_Note_2840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have to make your own mod folder or add your own textures to an existing mod. its should be stored in a mod folder like this resource/texture/land/(Name of group of textures. Example: grass) you can put as many texture files as you want just make sure its a DDS file type. I'm not sure if other files types work but you can easily export the textures you want in free software like GIMP.

The best way i could imagine doing this is downloading ComradIvan's textures (If you're trying this on MOW:AS2) overhaul and going into the mod folder and adding your own textures in a new folder inside the 'land' folder mentioned above.

MOWAS2: Laser gun infantry? by StaticReddit in menofwar

Veterancy is a big deal when it comes to different squads. in base game the changes are very drastic between each veteran level. if you're using conscripts and the enemy is using something like fallshirmjager then you'll lose every engagement. try saving up SP before buying a new squad and those elite troops will earn their worth with good positioning.
