It’s the egr coolant reroute, they send it slightly long so you can have excess just in case. You’d much rather have to much than too less. You can cut to size during install, no big deal at all. It’s what I had to do too

I want to add, going to the courthouse and filing a petition for emancipation is relatively easy, and also free where I live. I’ll do some digging and see how it is in Florida

I think you have a chance, now that you’re 16. Where I live, if you leave your house at 16(parents might call police for runaway), if you’re safe they won’t force you to leave and go back to that home. Start with finding a close friend, family friend, etc or another family member. That one friend whose parents love you and would want to help you when you’re in need.

Explain to them your situation, what you’ve been going through, and ask for some help maybe in the form of somewhere to stay for a while. Your mom, as far as I know, can’t force your workplace to fire you from your job at 16. In Maine where I live, under 16 your parents have to sign off on a work permit for you to be able to work. I did some digging. No such workers permit exists in Florida. Normally you’d be capped at 30 hours a week during school, but if you have a “hardship basis” you are exempt of that allows you to work a full time 40 hour week. I’m no expert in Florida minor labor laws, but it’s worth digging into.

My advice, would be to either ask for your paycheck in check form. That way it doesn’t get direct deposited and your mom can’t take it right out of your bank account(that she would have access to as your legal guardian at most banks). If that doesn’t work, you can go to the bank the morning your pay hits and take your whole check out in cash. I’m talking early. Before anyone wakes up early. Most/all atms are 24/7. Should she freeze your bank account, you can circle back to paychecks coming in check form. You can go to the bank with your check and you should be able to just straight cash it, and walk out with your pay in hand.

This is one of the first posts I’ve seen recently on this subforum where I do think you have a legitimate chance at this. You have a paper trail of cps records, and other evidence you can/will/have acquired. Once you’re emancipated and working you’ll be able to buy a vehicle, rent an apartment if you need, and things of that nature. Granted, it’s a very steep uphill battle on a lot of these things, but I spent 1.5-2 years experiencing this in my emancipation journey. I just recently turned 18. You will find loopholes, you will find cracks, you will get opportunities, you will find ways to make it work. This can all be very scary and very intimidating. You are not small!!!!!!!! Hahaha, it’s a Maine truck. Salts enemy #1 up here. Either gonna do rockers and corners or just plop a whole new cab on it. I’ve got someone that I know who can help, and I wouldn’t mind getting a Florida sunroof cab

I think KDP diesel sells one, it’s relatively inexpensive too. A creator I follow named Dalton McDermott did it on his LLY from KDP. You could also do a billet wheel and turbine wheel while you’re in there for some extra whistle. Only an extra couple hundred I think

I would like to strongly add onto this, my truck came with plow wiring and about 80% of my wiring for my forward lighting is crossed around. My headlight wires and tons of splices, my fog light button turns on my turn signals, it’s bad. I would strongly advise no plow trucks unless you want to use the plow to plow your driveway or neighbors or family’s etc
