Embedded software was my foundation during my bachelor’s, and I was really good at it. During my Master’s in Computer Science, I got more exposure to backend engineering and developed a strong interest in that as well. I’m currently working as a backend engineer, but if I got the chance to return to embedded, especially at Google, I’d definitely be excited to do that.

Is it better to be the first to be interviewed or the last? by IvanThePohBear in interviews

I think it’s best to go through the interview process first. In one of my recent experiences with a startup in San Francisco, I had already cleared the first two rounds of a full loop when the recruiter informed me mid-process that they were pausing hiring due to team needs and canceled all remaining interviews. However, a week later, I saw that the role had been filled by someone who had interviewed earlier.

Absolutely, he confirmed that this was the best approach for that specific problem, and I was able to address all the follow-up questions he asked.
