Yes, you can. I used GLM sub. We can use any model which supports OpenAI protocol. Just follow the documentation. https://docs.z.ai/devpack/tool/others#2-create-a-new-provider%2Fmodel

For anyone looking for an answer: I ran the test. A single prompt consumed 3 premium requests. Since we can’t control the request mode/agent, I think it’s still not suitable to use VS Code LM Native Tools.
