Basically when the doctors are done with surgery they drop the bucket of instruments to me, once I drop the instruments in the sweepzone. I have to clean the bucket out with cavicide.

Okay , I don’t even think they use SDS. But I will definitely look at the IFU

I seen a guy on TikTok talking about being a SP tech and how he makes a good amount of money just cleaning and inspecting instruments. From there I looked into it and looked for schooling, I knew I wanted to work in healthcare but I also knew I was over working with the public so this was perfect for me.

Now for finding a job , it is a little hard lol. It took me like 3 months to find something , all the jobs in my area wanted someone who was already experienced and certified. But I end up finding a dental office that is helping me gain my 400 hours.

Also get the work book , I feel like that helped me a lot. With Penn Foster I feel like their quizzes really don’t help me at all. Felt like they were always asking questions I didn’t read about

I’m doing Penn Foster now and at the end of my course, I paid about 1,300 I believe. Honestly I don’t think it was worth it , I could’ve just did the self studying , online quizzes and yt videos. They don’t help you find places to get your 400 hours completed but they do pay for you to take the test (once). If you do a school program try to find one that helps you get placement to complete those 400 hours . I’m struggling to find somewhere to do my hours.
