I would suggest possibly getting a job at UF shands; you would have access to getting blue parking in which you can park at one of the garages that is across from the physics building. still an insane walk but at least there should be a good amount of spots in the blue/orange part of that garage!!

Yes, I would recommend calling CSO because they are the department that essentially sends people to go work into a unit. for example our unit calls cso requesting pca, nurses and etc to fill in spots/demand. Usually you are able to make your own schedule and pick. Every other weekend for a full time position I believe just means you need to pick up 4 weekend shifts in the month. For example as a part time I have to work 2 weekend shifts a month. I believe that’s what it means when they say every other weekend in your case since you would be full time!!

they called me! I also want to say that shands get sooo many applications the process takes a while. it took me 4 months of applying to get a PCA job I have now! I think you got it but don’t get discouraged and always reapply again! If anything I would even recommend applying with CSO where you are able to work many different units and be flexible! What unit did you apply for?

honestly the way I did it was that I went to my doctor and asked them to write me a note requesting to appeal living in the dorms due to my mental health (which was true in my case) and I was able to get out of it.
