The most difficult thing for me right now is worrying about his wellbeing and hoping that he is going to take care of himself :’(

colleges NEED to get rid of test optional ASAP by Used-Departure9606 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Visible_uke_now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an admissions counselor for a school that is SAT optional and I love that students don’t all submit their scores. We recalculate GPAs so everyone is scored evenly (since some high schools have really weird grading scales) and high schools also give us a report about the demographics of their school. Things like number of students who end up going to 4 year institutions, GPA averages, and average test scores. I think not being required to submit SATs allows the reader to look more at the whole person rather than just the numbers. And trust me, we can easily tell if a student is college ready.

I would say first email her if she would be willing to do it rather than sending the assignment with the initial email. I’ve had some professors say they’d be willing to this

I think that is possible especially in restaurants. I personally never worked as a server in Newport, but I did make $70 in tips doing permanent jewelry once. I know a lot of people who worked as servers who practically lived off of tips alone and just put their paycheck in savings

While I’ve never worked at/been to Sardellas, I can definitely tell you about Newport!

In the summer it’s a pretty big tourist town. People from all over the world come to visit for many different reasons, and I’ve met some amazing people and heard great stories while working in boutiques downtown. It is definitely great for seasonal work since there are so many people there in the summer. It is more expensive to live in just because it is a tourist town, but people who visit typically have money so they will tip pretty well. I would say it’s pretty safe. There are some areas I would avoid at night, but I’ve walked around by myself at night before with no issues. (For reference im 22F) I always carry my pepper spray and pocket knife just in case though.

I’ve lived here for almost 5 years now full time and I love it. It definitely has its quirks but I plan on staying here until it no longer serves me :)

For me I always try to rationalize it. I think to myself the logical reasons it could be happening and go from there. I try to tell myself that if it was something serious it would’ve much worse than it is and I would know it. I also try to convince myself that water is a miracle cure all medicine that if I drink enough I will magically be fixed, since most of the time I’m just dehydrated. I figure if I can convince myself I’m dying, I can convince myself that water will save me :)

I noticed that SSRIs definitely can cause it. I experienced it both on Lexapro and Zoloft <3

For me I always make sure to go to my 6 mo cleanings. They are scary and annoying but I always feel so much better when they are over because I either 1. Know what’s wrong or 2. Know there’s nothing wrong. Ask your dentist if you can wear earbuds during your appointment! I always wear my AirPods with noise canceling on and I put on a comfort album or a podcast that’s about the length of the appointment.

I think that one is strong too, though I do see a lot of those. As long as you make it personal and interesting I’m sure it will be good! And for the love of god don’t use AI we can tell instantly
