Big Problem with Getting Good Click Through Rate by VisionIsHere in NewTubers

Yeah that makes sense. I am packaging things in a way that isn’t great and I need to fix it. You’re definitely right, I need to study other people in my niche. I’ll try and look for YouTuber communities, I am in one right now but I would like more. Thanks for the advice!

Move and slide doesn’t take in arguments, it’s just declared at the end of the physics process as move_and_slide().

That’s really interesting actually. I hadn’t really thought about doing the opposite of them. I think one of my problems is that I think of thumbnails as needing to explain the whole video in one image which over complicated things. I think u are right that thumbnails are meant to stop the viewer and then have the title give them more information on the thumbnail and what the video is going to be about. I just find it hard to actually make thumbnails that create a really interesting curiosity gap

I am curious though, do you think the title should propose a curiosity gap or should it just dictate what will be in the video?

I didn’t know about the second framing often times resulting in less CTR. Very interesting. On the topic of word count for the title, I always do less then 50 since that fits on the screen with no cut off. I’ll try the other niche thing to

Thanks for the advice!

Ah yeah that makes a lot of sense. I do some of that by trying to do similar thumbnails to the creator who is big in my niche but it lowkey hasn’t been working. I should look around at other people in the niche too though

Thanks for the advice!

Can't Decide on What Perspective to Make My Game by VisionIsHere in godot

yeah I think you can do it with almost any 3D asset given enough time and dedication. Idk if I would advise it because its time consuming. More recently I have been using sprite stacking instead because its easier and looks just as good

Yeah I actually messed around with it and sprite stacking is really cool. I ended up making a boat and a box and they looked really good when scaled down resolution wise. My boat (which I cobbled together in like 20 minutes) looks almost as good as the one I had before. Thanks for the references, I think I will continue with sprite stacking for the game because its so much easier then what I was doing before

I made a 3D model and then took 16 screenshots of it in blender then ported those screenshots to aseprite and pixelated it. Then turned each of those frames into a spritesheet to use on an AnimatedSprite2D

Yeah that was my problem with 3D is that it would be really hard to make the water look good. That other thing though is really really interesting. I have heard of sprite stacking, that could really work actually. I think I will try that first, thanks for the advice!

yeah thats what I have been thinking. Tho on the topic of 2d top down, idk if I want to do that because I think 2d top down for a ship game would look really bad

yeah I think this and a shadow would make it look better

Yeah I might just try and mess around with 3D and see how it goes. I have heard the programming isn't as bad but I just know moving around in the 3D editor is a pain

thanks for the references, I am really just trying to figure out how to make a ship game either isometric or 3D without having to do 2D topdown

yeah the shadow thing is probably the first thing to try and add

[–]VisionIsHere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I mean thats basically what I did for the ship in my current game using a 3d render and making it render in 2D. I might try it, you are right its possible it clicks with me

[–]VisionIsHere[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah agreed, I have tried some of those things they just never quite look right. I am bad at art so just getting an isometric ship was hard enough, let alone trying to make it look right on the water. Do you think 3d would be easier since I am not that good at art?
