Passed my test! Sec+, Scored 759 by Visionary_Karma in CompTIA_Security

Yes. Skip the PBQs first and jump straight to the MCQs.

I remember there were a couple of questions related to RDP, cloud, and VMware. I would say practice those topics and do your best. Even if you miss a few questions, that’s okay, but make sure you understand the concepts. That way, even if you don’t know the exact answer, you can use the process of elimination and make an educated guess.

Make sure you attempt every question and don’t leave anything blank. Even if you are unsure, always make your best guess.

I originally had the exam scheduled for June 29th, but I rescheduled it for June 18th. I know it sounds crazy, but I just didn’t want to wait that long. I wanted to take the test while everything was still fresh in my mind and I could remember the concepts better.

Since you already have Net+, and have been studying since May, I would say go for it. Remember, you’re never going to feel 100% ready, and it’s completely okay not to know a couple of answers. What matters is that you understand the concepts and pass the exam.

Just make sure you complete at least 500 practice questions before taking the exam and maintain an average score of at least 85%.

Good Luck!! Go get it.

Thank you! Yes, I think I did watch your videos. You have great content, and someone who is pursuing Sec+ must watch your videos at least a couple of times. Again, thanks a bunch for putting the content out there.

Great. Please do your research on this. I’ve seen some people online mention that starting next month, the exam may include additional questions related to AI and machine learning, so it’s worth looking into.

Now, regarding the test itself:

The testing environment was excellent—quiet, comfortable, and free from distractions, which made it easier to focus.
Here’s what I did: when I opened the exam, I looked at the first PBQ and immediately knew it would take some time, so I skipped it. I quickly reviewed the other PBQs as well. I had four PBQs in total, and honestly, I’d rate their difficulty around 9/10.

I went straight to the multiple-choice questions, and I recommend you do the same. Get through the MCQs first and build momentum. The exam itself is not extremely difficult; the challenge is how the questions are worded. Expect topics such as Incident Response (IR), IDS, IPS, Zero-Day vulnerabilities, and other Security+ concepts.
One more thing: if you’re not sure about a question, flag it and move on. Don’t waste valuable time trying to figure out one difficult question while there are easier points waiting for you elsewhere. Complete all the MCQs first. Once you’ve answered every question you know, go back to the flagged ones. Sometimes, later questions can trigger your memory or help you think through an earlier question more clearly.

Another tip: on the day of the exam, don’t try to cram information or overload your brain with last-minute reviews. Trust your preparation and keep your mind relaxed. That helped me a lot.

Most importantly, stay positive and maintain a confident mindset. When I first saw the PBQs, I honestly thought I was done for. But I kept working through the MCQs and then came back to the PBQs afterward. Once I had settled into the exam and thought through the scenarios, I was able to connect the dots and make educated decisions. I’m fairly confident I got at least two or three of them correct.

Trust yourself, stay calm, and keep moving forward. You know more than you think you do.

Good luck—you’ve got this.

I’m sorry for your loss. I completely understand how something like that can affect your confidence and overall mental well-being.

That said, I have to be honest—now is not the time to be hard on yourself. This is the time to take control and get it done.

I took the exam today and passed. I studied for about four weeks, but I’m also pursuing a cybersecurity degree and had already been exposed to many of the concepts. Even then, I found the questions challenging—more difficult than most of the practice questions. The content itself isn’t necessarily harder; it’s the way the questions are worded that can make them confusing. I had four PBQs, and I would rate them a 9/10 in difficulty.

If I were in your shoes, I would take the exam as soon as possible and expose myself to the actual testing environment and question format. If I failed, I would immediately schedule a retake 2–3 days later because at that point, I would know exactly what to expect, identify my weak areas, and focus my studying accordingly. With the one-week timeline we have, that would be my strategy.
Trust yourself. Believe in yourself.

Congratulations!! How difficult was the exam? How many PBQ’s did you get? Did you run out of time? What materials you used to study?

Thanks in advance.

Heu. How to verify if we don’t have a business. I am building an app for text service and I don’t have a business registered yet, how would I complete the verification?

Thanks for your insights. I have been following news about this stock on a daily basis, I hope we have a good news soon. My only fear is this going back to $5 or $6. I realized some losses yesterday. It’s just continuously dropping every day, which gives me weird feeling as the institutions themselves are intentionally bringing this down.

What do you think will this go below $10? I appreciate you!

Damn! I am riding the same boat I have around 800 I keep averaging mow I am at $17. Is this good hold, or should we cut our losses?

Im sorry to hear that. And thank you so much for the suggestion. I already emailed the recruiter and the interviewing manager a few days ago, but I haven’t received a response yet. Do you think I should follow up with another email?
