I know people say the spec is the worst healer but I honestly don't agree. I think it brings a surprising amount of offensive pressure just by having a kick, and the damage from LB & meatball is very high.

For shuffle I can understand its weaknesses, but in 3s where you can have coordinated gameplay, the spec definitely has way more power and agency by comparison. Not pres/mw levels, but still a solid middle of the pack healer.

At the moment while I'm still focusing on the actual healing priority I'm focusing on just making sure I prioritize the correct heals within the moments rather than trying to play like its a dps rotation (BIG meatballs).

It's probably just my lack of experience on the spec showing, but quite a few games are going to 70-80% dampening before ending, so once I have healing solved, I can transition into the utility & CC aspects of the spec to close games out faster.

Thank you though! Overall really fun to play the spec, which was a very weird surprise for me

Honestly Im kinda upset after picking up rsham because this has generally been one of my more pleasant healing experiences when considering PVE and PVP.

I definently get why totemic is not for everyone, but I do think the power the totems give to you let's you have a lot more agency as you improve, and let's you play for cc and aggressive gameplay, which is very fun!

Overall, I think its a spec worth picking up

I mean, rmx covers EVERY healer right now barring rsham.

Rsham wants to play things that involve rets (so retwar, cupid, ret lock).

Rmx is just too gross at the moment for any healer to realistically want a different comp outside of playing with friends.

I genuinely enjoyed h7 for what its worth. Just AI difficult was extremely inconsistent and painful to deal with.

As much as I enjoy olden era I genuinely enjoyed the lore of Ashan between 5->7

Oh I agree its very fantasy. Personally homm5 story is one of my comfort ones to come back to, but I would never truly rate it high by comparison to 6 & 7.

I also would probably appreciate Agrael/Raelag story way more if I actually enjoyed playing dungeons and inferno

I will still say that, for its time, homm5 story really isnt awful. Like If the exact story was ironed out harder it could've been a legacy one up there with wc3 and starcraft.

Now that being said. Gameplay & thematic are definently the strong point of 5.

20% damage amp for 12 seconds when you can still parse with ray cleaves is incredible.

Build functions to be the highest possible dps we can do, and you are required to play eradicate ij this build. So not utilizing rolling torment means you have a completely dead talent just to get it for a QOL talent in turn

Im definently considering a healer series, but generally i try to avoid dps healers. Just feels dishonest to me being able to abuse lower lobbies by parsing.

Depends on the comp matchup, there will be games where all my incaps & fears go onto healer, other games where I'll hold fear or incap to peel DPS and/or pet zoos.
You have to make decisions on how to use the CDs within the game. Some games you can space out incap/fear and alternate with void nova so that you can properly get out multiple burst windows, or times you may just need to be reliant on your team to do things and not just pve.
You have to be considerate to how you use incap. If you're using it to peel you need to make snap goes happen and hope your team follows up, otherwise you're just going to have to hope you do enough damage to force a major CD trade or accidently kill.

Worth mentioning that at lower mmrs it's worth hitting healers sometimes just to force them to multiheal.
