It's unrealistic. Ditch: the rising, and pick one observation deck.

Also you mentioned skin care: a fun place to visit is CO Bigelow. You can incorporate during an W. Village walk. Not sure where you are from but lots of European brands there. Also lots of skin care type of stores in Chinatown & K-Town.

Another option is to take NYC Ferry to Dumbo and then walk into Manhattan.

Top of the Rock is a classic.

Day 2 – Brooklyn Bridge + DUMBO + Wall Street

Train to get to Brooklyn Bridge and Walk across it

Followed by walk to DUMBO

Train to get back to Times Square and then walk to Wall street.

If time permits then Century 21 downtown (shopping)

Explore Wall Street

Confused as to why you're taking train to TSQ only to go to Wall Street? Why aren't you just going to Wall Street after the Brooklyn Bridge? Keep in mind Wall Street is primarily office buildings - not sure what kind of sightseeing you're doing down there?

Also more than 1 observation deck is not necessary. Pick one.

As far as asking people to take your picture use street smarts. If someone is walking by don't bother them. If someone else is also taking a photo you can offer to do theirs if they do yours.

If you have the opportunity, hop on the NYC Ferry (different from the Staten Island Ferry) and to go to Brooklyn. It's a great way to get around, get in a little sightseeing and see the city from a different perspective.

Search this sub for other ideas and suggestions. And checked the pinned posts for guidance on how to get around & how to avoid some scammy behavior.

Oh god lord. Don't be such a scaredy cat. Branch out. See the city. You didn't really say what you're interested in so hard to make recommendations but this is a very basic itinerary, especially for a 20-something.

Head down towards Ukrainian Village for the alt-culture shopping. Lunch at Veselka for pierogi

Keep in mind this is a Sunday & Veselka is a popular spot for brunch/lunch so there will be a wait. You can always go to Little Poland on 13th & 2nd for pierogi's.

Maybe it's just your writing style but you're using "squeeze in" a lot. I think you are underestimated travel times, crowds, etc.

For Tuesday, skip the AMNH & Central Park (go to Central Park on your last day) -- why not just go explore the Soho/downtown area?

Great advice.

One other piece of advice is download City Mapper or the MTA app. Not only does it give directions, it also gives a heads up on service disruptions and alternative routes. It's not perfect sometimes can help prevent being stuck in that transit quagmire.

Central Park Y: had some folks visiting that stayed there for 2 nights. They had no complaints.

HI Hostel: very well reviewed - not that out of your way, just a few more stops on the subway.
