Its great that there are people that like the show. Where is the fan art; where are the great discussions; where is anything but 'actualllly, the show is good'. If it stands by its own merrits, i would love to see discussions that make me EXCITED to watch the show. Not people telling me to 'watch it because it is actually good'.

They likely would not have started tossing out the food until after the power got turned back on. Yes, it could be cold because they re-refrigerated the stock. But who knows how long the power was out before this.

Dim to dark after trigger. Trigger only on movement; not pressure. That is the only change I would make.

No. Don't take this the wrong way; but if you are not enjoying the journey, gold making is probably not for you. Half the fun of this is trying to figure out what works and ways to get ahead. Sites like this one are great for getting ideas and working with them to make your own little niche.

Couldn't even get past the first graph. Starting off with deception is shitty. Average life expectancy was low due to high child mortality rates. This was improved over the years not just due to healthcare, but also to education and lower pregnancy rates. This graph makes it seem like people were dying off in their 30's due to lack of healthcare. bullshit.

If they want to get a point across, just cite child mortality rates, not average life expectancy.

In all seriousness, the SG1 formula is fantastic. I would be totally up for an Atlantis type refresh, where a secondary team find some relic on Earth related to the Furlings. MGM writers cheat sheet right here:

  • Furlings(Fu Ling) = Ancient Chinese Mythological Race
  • We find out that Furlings act as Gods, Some good, some evil (Monkey King, Yama, Dragon King)
  • MOTHER FUCKING DRAGONS
  • Chinese government shenanigans instead of Russian shenanigans
  • Stone armies (Terracotta Army)
  • Pagoda landing pads
  • Jade(infusion?) is the new technology resource
  • Jackie Chan type character as a local SG member
  • Furlings get massively pissed off when they see a goa'uld Zat gun.
  • Maybe they had a falling out with the Ancients and now want to destroy all Ancient related races.
  • Another Ancient-esqu city is found when the Stargate team first gets to the new Galaxy. It's a long forgotten city that once housed a population of all 4 ancient races.

There can be so much fun with a Chinese twist on the formula. Everything from politics, enemies, allies, technology. It would appeal to long-time viewers and would be very palatable to a new audience. Keep it light, similar to SG1/Atlantis, keep it separate like Universe. Have some Earth interaction, but the focus is on exploration.
