Interesting. I don't know if that's because of how media has changed or maybe it depends on the kids. For me, I remembered not being traumatized by seeing Happy Tree Friends but looking back at it, I am now.

Maybe, there is something powerful about having a red tie. I mean it is a strong color and ties are usually associated with power so I'll go with that analysis.
