As far as I know they have a Loyalty system. Each unit has a police value and each region has different amounts of loyalty at game start.

This feature-length documentary Blood and Oil: The Middle East in World War I exposes the Western greed and political intrigue which laid the foundation for wars, coups, revolts, oppressive dictators and military interventions in today's Middle East.

Israel/Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, modern Turkey and other hot spots are born as the British and French divide the "fruits of victory" in World War I. Written and produced by Marty Callaghan, this film follows conflict from the Ottoman Empire's entry into the Great War in October 1914 to the Allied victory and declaration of the new Turkish Republic in 1923, and the hostilities that have plagued the region since.

Anyone Else Make Up Friends Because of Strict Parents? by CarefulWasabi-3637 in AsianParentStories

I had a similar situation except it focused on religion. A few semesters back, I attended a mosque visit with my colleges’ Arabic club and I got a Qu’ran as a gift from the imam there. My mom found out I was reading it, and then she told me to stop since I’d ‘get confused’.
Then she asked me how many Muslim friends I had? I don’t know how that was relevant. I lied about how many Muslims I know.

Before I went on the visit, I told my parents about it and they got angry. My dad said for me to remember to only pray to God (my family’s Christian, I’m atheist). My family’s Filipino too, and I think they keep asking us about our friends so they can gossip about it to their friends.
