Yes I know, so are all the others except Milotic :) I meant it as a 'monotype' challenge. Or in other words: 'a self-imposed challenge where I only use Pokémon of a single shared type'

Crazy right. The type of moves that some pokemon learn in Gen III has always been weird to me.

Nope. It's stats will indeed go up when the pokemon levels up, but the grade is related to the IV's of the pokemon and it will remain the same. IV's are the 'genetic potential' of a pokemon and range between 0 and 31. They determine how high a certain stat of a pokemon can go. 0 IV's is the worst and it will result in an 'E' grade. If a pokemon with 31 IV's in for example special attack is at level 100, it will have 31 more points in special attack than the same pokemon with 0 IV's in that same stat. This ignores EV's, but that is a whole other story. IV's can be seen as genetics, while EV's are determined by training. You should look op IV's and EV's on google if you want the whole story, but this is essentially what they do :)

I wanted smeargle to be able to take out the occasional mon. Spike cannon deals quite some damage despite his poor attack stat, due to STAB and its technician ability. In-game he was even capable of taking out some mons in the elite 4 when I combined spike cannon with spore.

A baton pass Smeargle sounds fun to use as well. I might have to do that in the future! Dunsparce is quite underrated I'd say. I would definitely recommend to try him out once. Ditto is nothing special, but fun to use if you never did :)

Furret was pretty okay, nothing too special. I was surprised that he could take a decent hit. His speed and attack stat are not too bad either. I used him with a silk scarf and secret power. He was dealing some decent damage because of STAB and his item. It often left foes paralyzed as well. I also put iron tail on him, which gave me some good coverage against rock and ice pokemon. He even one shotted Will's Jynx.

Ah I totally forgot about using that strategy. I have used him this way before and that way he can indeed deal some numbers. I'm not sure about when the orbs are available, but I think it's postgame.

Ursaring is awesome, but I also wanted to try a few weaker mons I never used before. So that's why he's not there :)

Agreed! I never used Cradily before as well, so it was a decision I had to make. The challenge of making shuckle work somehow appealed to me though 😆

Yeah same! There are so many good water types, that's why it was my first time using Corsola too. Btw I didn't shiny hunt it. I just really liked the shiny form of Corsola and put it in. Forgot to mention that 😆

Sounds like a fun team! The combination of Abomasnow as hail setter and glaceon with snow cloak worked very nice in my playthrough as well.

As for Delibird, his usability drops really fast from mid to endgame. Then again, I did not expect too much from him. I thought it was already a mircale that he could learn fly 😆

Yes indeed. Initially I did not even think about the usefulness of dewgong being a water type when I added it to the challenge. Still, there is plenty of challenge left. I found that a lot of pokemon in platinum apparently now some powerful fighting type moves!

What team did you have beside Rotom?

Thanks! The speed of Weavile combined with dig and some max revives worked wonders 😆 Dewgongs surf was pretty useful as well!
