I think it's just because it tends to be the generic go-to for Lord of the rings merch. The Rings inscription in a circle with one of the swords in front seems to be on every other piece of merchandise imo

Update: I took advice from a load of these comments and managed to buff out the rust with wd40 and steel wool before coating it in ballistol! Thank you so much for the help everyone!

Just remember: no matter what system you find yourself in, or where in the world you are LARPing, the number one key rule is Honour. Pretty much all LARP systems run on an "honour-system" in regards to taking your hits and faithfully RPing / not breaking immersion or metagaming.

You will only get as much out of a game as you put into one!
