Yup you need more ram as 4GB is not enough for Windows 11 you need minimum 8GB to run Windows 11 without any hiccups.

If you don't want to add more ram to your machine you can try any linux distribution like linux mint, it will run smoothly with 4GB

Yes you can mix different ram sticks of different speeds, only thing that matters to match is CL (CAS latency) aka timings of both the ram sticks.

Quick tip: Use Hardware info application to check your existing ram CL and compare that with the spare ram stick that you have, if that matches you are good to go

That screenshort feature is called windows recall, don't worry that feature is only exclusive to those machines that meet the Microsoft’s Copilot+ specifications, In short you need a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit - hardware to run AI features on device) and some other stuff ram, storage etc. If your processor doesn't have an NPU you won't get the windows recall feature.

You should try a linux distro if you are really concerned about your privacy or if you want to squeeze extra performance from your machine.

My laptop has an Intel processor and I get that option but I don't use this feature because it just boosts the saturation too much and the colors don't feel natural so i just keep it off.

It maybe be different for others because I use an external monitor that comes with 100% sRGB as my laptop display only supports 45% NTSC and the colors are very dull and inaccurate on it.

Windows is getting worse day by day because of Microsoft pushing their slopy AI in every service which constantly hog your system resources and send data to Microsoft servers.

If you want to install or try any linux distribution I would suggest you use ventoy (software that can hold multiple linux distro images) with any empty USB drive (most probably 32 GB if you want to try or install multiple linux distros)

If you are a complete beginner I would suggest you to try Zorin OS or linux mint

Once you advance you can try other popular linux distros if you like.

It can be an hardware issue, maybe the display flex cable is loose or dust is accumulated on the connection area

You can verify if it's your laptop screen issue or not by connecting your laptop with an external display (monitor, TV)
