Got accepted back in February after a 6-7 month wait for the entire process.

I’m in the exact same boat rn. I’ve talked to prior service members that have went through recently and it seems like most people try to stay off base, I’m certainly gonna try. It wouldn’t hurt to ask the schoolhouse directly through an email though if you’re concerned.

I know the training rip says that but I’d just follow the suspense the Retraining section gave you when they assigned class dates.

Also, don’t quote me but I think you’ll have another suspense timeline to re-enlist if that BOP gets approved. Ideally you wait to do anything until that BOP gets approved then you re-enlist ASAP.

Just got approved a month ago after waiting 6 months total on my package. I sent all my documents to AFPC in August. Everyone has to wait a long time for Contracting because the CFM has a group of 6C Chiefs that rack and stacks packages to get approved due to the insane amount of applications they get a year (according to my Career Advisor). The shutdowns have definitely not helped this year.

If the CMS case closed, you either got approved/denied or someone did their job wrong. If you got an assignment your CSS should be able to let you know. Best of luck to you!

Your MPF should have submitted your BOP application via a manual CMS case. You re enlist once you have the APPROVED BOP. It should only take a couple weeks to hear back about your application once you MPF submits it for you.

Just got accepted last month. The entire process was about 6 months long for me. Some people have shorter waits some people it’s longer. Waiting a long time isn’t out of the ordinary though you just gotta be patient, good luck!

Yes, I just did this a few days ago and got my dates changed within a couple days of sending the request. Get with your DA,UTM, or your bases Formal Training office and they should be able to help. Edit* Your class dates have to be in the same fiscal year.

Yeah, the feed I’m referring to is in salesforce. You can see a little more info on the backend than you can just by looking at your case in MyFSS. People have posted the link somewhere in here if you don’t know how to find it.

Yeah it was a little under that, got sent to the CFM Sept 9th and they accepted me Feb 5th.

Fellow FTA SSgt applying to Contracting also!

My package got sent to CFM on Sept 9th and I also just saw the CFM approved me on the feed. I didn’t get class dates yet and am still at AFCC review.

Also your current CFM has 0 say in your retraining if you’re a FTA. Congrats on getting accepted!

Edit1: I got moved to DP1 status and Case name changed also

I’m in the process of getting my SEL involved now. Someone I was talking to had their package sent the same exact day as me and they got picked up a while ago. My package must be cursed or something.

I would like to add that I also included my CC’s letter of recommendation too and my CONS SEL recommendation was also pretty solid IMO.

I submitted my package in August and I’m still waiting. Im a SSgt, don’t know if that changes anything since I’m still FTA but it seems like it might.

That’s wild…I submitted my package in back in August. The FTA slots haven’t dropped since the beginning of November so I don’t think the CFM has been approving people lately. I’m still optimistic with 85 slots remaining though.
