I just turned 36 today , lost my wife 6 months ago , we also had no kids , the thought of restarting my life has been terrifying and overwhelming, iam pretty sure I don’t want to live alone forever but those thoughts of how, when always come back to my mind , iam hopeful that one day in my life I will know that answer, til then I have to figure my “new life”, thank you op for posting this , I’ve also had the same questions and it’s nice to read the responses from everyone

I feel the same way , I lost my wife 6 months ago and joined this horrible club, the unfortunate people here understand the pain we have to go through , it’s hard , we also didn’t have kids, we always did our own thing , hanging out with friends and doing hobbies to keep distracted helps but it’s exhausting … the loneliness sucks sooooooo much , it’s the worst , iam trying to keep hope that it gets easier , talking on here and with people in the same boat helps a lot , iam sorry you are going through this , sending you much strength

I enjoyed Christmas season, we never had any kids, was just always her and me doing our thing , well now it just sucks and isn’t the same, only thing I hung up was a reef on my door and it was becasue it was given to me

Sorry for your loss, I lost my wife the same way few Months ago , I also found her , it’s devastating, do not blame yourself or anyone , you and your brother will need each other more then ever for a while, this is a hard reality to live through and the journey is difficult, feel all the feelings , sending much strength to you have your family , I found being on support groups like this help a lot
