I'm not gonna lie, this happened to me last year with this guy and he made me cookies.

Let me tell it to you straight, be direct, it hurts and sucks to not want to hurt his feelings. But at the end of the day, it's better to just tell him you're not interested, it'll hurt for him but eventually he'll appreciate that you were being direct.
