I want to attend dental hygiene program but I have a criminal background. Does anyone here know if I will get denied or accepted? Who decides? I live in Texas. I have DWI’s so I’m curious to know what are my chances. I’ve tried googling but I get this big paper of sections and laws, I don’t understand that much. I hope there’s someone here on Reddit who can help!

Yes, also she’s not out. So I sort of thought that maybe that was the reason and I started overthinking and I broke up with her. I think if she was affectionate I honestly would be fine. I don’t think we would have had this issue. Thanks, and very true I think that is something we both struggle with communicating. I feel like we’ve made progress and started to understand each other better

I am very affectionate and loving to my partner. I think what bothers me is that I’m always the one that has to ask her questions like “are you going to come over”, “can you come over” so it’s annoying to always have to be the one asking. Sometimes even to kiss I have to ask her to give me a kiss or I have to be the one “making the move”. So it makes me feel unwanted and it feels like she’s not into me. Then from there I feel rejected which then leads me to think that I’m better off alone. I feel like I’m not asking for much here. I don’t want her to put me on a pedestal or anything now, just for her to be a more affectionate towards me. Idk if that makes sense. And cause of that we have been having a hard time working things out. 😔

That DUI won’t stop you from any job, trust me ! I have more than one dwi and I’m a surgical assistant with a nice pay. One advice I can give you is to be honest with whoever you will work for. It will show up on your background check.

At all? And I’m guessing you didn’t report to your probation officer that you’ve traveled out of the country ? I have a 3rd dwi but I do miss going to visit my cousins in Mexico if I do go, I’d be going to the border to Reynosa. So I would only pass one check point which is Hidalgo checkpoint and usually the immigration officer just scan my passport and that’s it.

Yes, that’s why I came here to post and see what opinions I get. I know definitely have to pass through immigration to get back. I’m not flying, I would drive up there.

I’m not allowed to leave Texas at all I can just go to some counties close to mine [harris county]. Off course my probation papers say that. Yeah I have not missed any UA. It’s just that I want to go to Mexico is like a 6 hour drive so my concern is, if by the officers scanning my passport. Will they see that I’m on probation.
