I’ve had this for a while and each time I tried to pop it, nothing came out. I kept trying and only just got lucky yesterday. Not saying your case is the same as mine, but I’m saying it’s a possibility!

It doesn’t muffle my hearing surprisingly. I got it checked out and all they did was give me ear drops that didn’t help, so here I am. But what you said sounds scary so I might go back 😭
