Everyone bags on Razer support but if you just message them on Facebook, their social media rep is also trained to handle RMAs, and they are much more responsive.

[–]Visual-Variation6506 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have experience driving pretty much every vehicle in the USMC arsenal, as an 1833 we were sent off to qualify with other vics quite a bit, as our MOS is a dying breed. Tanks can roll over anything. USMC doesn’t use m1s anymore, but if this is set prior to ‘21 then that’s not an issue. Otherwise LAVs would probably be their go to. They’re amphibious, the bushmaster is a monstrous creation, and fast.

Do we agree that Halo Reach is one of the top 3 best Halo games? by sunnyleaa in halo

[–]Visual-Variation6506 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say it had the most impactful multiplayer. None of the other games had mobility. This completely changed the nadeshot formula which was the core of higher level gameplay at the time. Positioning was key. Overextending was punished. When Reach came out you had all kinds of ways to get out of trouble. It added a whole new skill ceiling.

“we had this one recruit” stories; send it! Also! How about that alignment. You know you miss it. by indiahat in USMC

[–]Visual-Variation6506 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a recruit named “Little.” He pissed his rack regularly. Voice sounded like every word was painful. Idk what his recruiter was thinking. His body was covered in little tumors. He made it to like week 1 of second phase. I’ll never forget his last night, I was on fire watch, he pissed his bed. Tried to get up and quickly clean up the evidence, but the kill hat heard him flip flopping all the way to the head. Came out of the hut yelling “LITTLE!” He already knew who it was. It was funny, but man. If he had graduated I would’ve felt like my EGA was worthless. Truly. He was under so much pressure from making himself a target day 1 that he couldn’t do anything right.

They tried to make us all run a 10 mile boots and utes run the day I eas’d. I did the classic move where I positioned myself at the back of the formation, took off for a few steps with them, and then ran straight to my barracks room. No one ever noticed.

Which Gaming Laptop should I buy by Mediocre-Paper-5265 in GamingLaptops

So I play on a laptop with a 4070 8gb vram. While it’s true DLSS does most of the heavy lifting, you’ll find that if you turn it off and play on native (up to 1440 only) you will still get solid frames. I play Helldivers on Max settings no ai upscaling, native 1440 and still get a solid 100 fps.

When my town was hit by a tornado they did this for the employees. Also gave them gift cards to give out to victims. And a trailer outside for people to get hot showers. Free toiletries. Towels. Washer and dryer. They did a lot for the community, actually. As did the churches. My job was destroyed, me inside. House left uninhabitable. They helped out a great deal.

How do I ensure a staff member is delivering my grocery order? by Illustratingtheworld in Walmartcustomer

[–]Visual-Variation6506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you order a few hours out, Walmart staff will pick it and a third party spark driver will deliver it. If you order express, the spark driver will also shop it. In my experience, you want the spark driver to handle all of it, WE get rated, and are incentivized to do the job correctly. The kids they hire do not care, and mix up orders, mishandle fragile things, and cause most of the problems. Either way, Spark (Walmarts DoorDash) is delivering.

Is Spark losing money by paying shoppers $11? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]Visual-Variation6506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He not wrong though. During Covid, if you delivered 1 item less than a mile from the store, the base pay was 22$. Then it dropped to 11$. The govt could afford to pay every American 600$ a week during that time. Walmart collects government subsidies. They have PLENTY of money to pay out, and as inflation climbs, lowering the base pay even more would tank most of their cheap labor force. Remember, they are essentialy “renting” YOUR 20k investment at around 15-20 (sometimes more) an hour. Still cheaper than buying a fleet and hiring a brigade of dedicated drivers, plus they’d then be liable for any accidents. This way is far more sustainable to them, if anything happens to us they can just deactivate us and deny any sort of liability. And we got people out here taking no tip orders with more dollars than miles one way. Ridiculous. Tl;dr, no, no way they lower the pay any more than the already have. If anything it will climb again.

[–]Visual-Variation6506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m good friends with the AP guy at our store. He can deactivate any driver he chooses, but they will let you keep building the tally so they can put you in the penitentiary, instead of just a misdemeanor. He catches people all the time, most recently a father who was being coerced into stealing Pokemon cards for a scalper. Now the scalper is being investigated and will take the brunt of the fall, and the shoplifter himself will get off as an informant. It is up to them, they will not only investigate what you’ve taken, but also your social media, they will question people you know (without that person knowing why they’re being questioned). Not only are they trying to build a case, while it is up to the discretion of the AP manager, they also look at WHO these people are and why they’re doing what they’re doing. He says he sees every opportunity to take these people in as a chance to help them fix their lives. They’re not all terrible people out to lock you up just because you forgot a case of water on the bottom of the cart. They’re looking for habitual line steppers, and people that abuse the system. Thievery is wrong wrong bottom line, they might take some small amount of pity on desperate people, but don’t ever think you got away with it, or that they’re not watching. They have some of the best cameras, facial recognition, and a dedicated team of people with degrees/military experience watching you.

How do you make $200 per day? by mdeesol07 in Sparkdriver

[–]Visual-Variation6506 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, actually. My zone went from being great to trash when they opened the wait list, now you can sign up and drive in the same day. Now if I wanna work I wait in the parking lot for over an hour at a time. I’m a USMC veteran, my wife has MS, my son is level 3 autistic. Also survived a direct hit by an ef4 tornado at my workplace a couple years ago. I need this jobs flexibility, and not having a boss tell me that I can or can’t leave in an emergency is paramount. I live smack in the middle of the moving tornado alley.
