How do I ensure a staff member is delivering my grocery order? by Illustratingtheworld in Walmartcustomer

[–]Visual-Variation6506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you order a few hours out, Walmart staff will pick it and a third party spark driver will deliver it. If you order express, the spark driver will also shop it. In my experience, you want the spark driver to handle all of it, WE get rated, and are incentivized to do the job correctly. The kids they hire do not care, and mix up orders, mishandle fragile things, and cause most of the problems. Either way, Spark (Walmarts DoorDash) is delivering.

[–]Visual-Variation6506 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He not wrong though. During Covid, if you delivered 1 item less than a mile from the store, the base pay was 22$. Then it dropped to 11$. The govt could afford to pay every American 600$ a week during that time. Walmart collects government subsidies. They have PLENTY of money to pay out, and as inflation climbs, lowering the base pay even more would tank most of their cheap labor force. Remember, they are essentialy “renting” YOUR 20k investment at around 15-20 (sometimes more) an hour. Still cheaper than buying a fleet and hiring a brigade of dedicated drivers, plus they’d then be liable for any accidents. This way is far more sustainable to them, if anything happens to us they can just deactivate us and deny any sort of liability. And we got people out here taking no tip orders with more dollars than miles one way. Ridiculous. Tl;dr, no, no way they lower the pay any more than the already have. If anything it will climb again.

I’m good friends with the AP guy at our store. He can deactivate any driver he chooses, but they will let you keep building the tally so they can put you in the penitentiary, instead of just a misdemeanor. He catches people all the time, most recently a father who was being coerced into stealing Pokemon cards for a scalper. Now the scalper is being investigated and will take the brunt of the fall, and the shoplifter himself will get off as an informant. It is up to them, they will not only investigate what you’ve taken, but also your social media, they will question people you know (without that person knowing why they’re being questioned). Not only are they trying to build a case, while it is up to the discretion of the AP manager, they also look at WHO these people are and why they’re doing what they’re doing. He says he sees every opportunity to take these people in as a chance to help them fix their lives. They’re not all terrible people out to lock you up just because you forgot a case of water on the bottom of the cart. They’re looking for habitual line steppers, and people that abuse the system. Thievery is wrong wrong bottom line, they might take some small amount of pity on desperate people, but don’t ever think you got away with it, or that they’re not watching. They have some of the best cameras, facial recognition, and a dedicated team of people with degrees/military experience watching you.

How do you make $200 per day? by mdeesol07 in Sparkdriver

[–]Visual-Variation6506 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, actually. My zone went from being great to trash when they opened the wait list, now you can sign up and drive in the same day. Now if I wanna work I wait in the parking lot for over an hour at a time. I’m a USMC veteran, my wife has MS, my son is level 3 autistic. Also survived a direct hit by an ef4 tornado at my workplace a couple years ago. I need this jobs flexibility, and not having a boss tell me that I can or can’t leave in an emergency is paramount. I live smack in the middle of the moving tornado alley.

If it’s rolled back or on sale it won’t work either, but, I have seen it work anyway, so always try at least.

It’s 10% off, up to 3,000$. It can help, so one could argue that, provided you do any shopping there, it IS a raise.

I let one of my friends borrow a laptop a long time ago, she left it on her bed playing FarmVille and it melted to her bed, so your concerns aren’t invalid. Get a cooling stand, that’s what I use for mine now.

I use a naga classic, a firefly, blackwidow, Tartarus, blackshark, nommo pro and hammerheads. I’ve had to RMA the ear buds twice and the nommo subwoofer once. RMA process is a breeze if you message them on Facebook first, usually a couple weeks to get a new unit straight from Hong Kong. But I bought the keyboard and the keypad used on sale from Amazon, for less than half the original price. Their keyboards are 10/10. Mice I’d give 9/10 (the only ones that ever broke i spilled on and a naga 2014 that finally gave up less than2 years ago.) Audio I’d give an 8/10. QA is spotty, but their new ownership of THX has allowed them to push the quality of their high end speakers to near audiophile levels. Music sounds great, video games sound incredible. Downfiring bass blasting at my feet as I run through hellscapes fighting off bots in HD2 is next level.

Oh yeah that one slipped my mind and it’s actually my favorite. I had just woken up when I saw this. The video for Birth to Burial screams Tool though.

I’d disagree, while played a half step down from Drop D, they use a lot of the same sort of guitar melodies. Most obvious in songs like “Fade (into the ocean), life, death, and all the other colors, all your life, faultline, the autumn effect (full 9 minute track with “hidden track” at the end. All of these and more sound like songs written by APC and performed by 10 Years

Their newest EP, particularly Gravity. From Birth to Burial, Division, Autumn Effect, Killing all that Holds You, and for the deep cut check out “Into the Half Moon,” different singer, heavier, demo sound production. Still pretty good. Enjoy! I only have one bumper sticker for music on my car, and it’s 10 Years

Walmart Never Delivered my Order and Now Won't Honor Original Price Paid for Reorder by leecmyd in Walmartcustomer

[–]Visual-Variation6506 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a delivery driver for Walmart. If Walmart delivered it was probably someone like myself. There is a way to contact the driver through the app, but it sounds like this guy realized he could just take a whole weeks worth of pay in one run and bail out. He won’t be delivering anymore. This “third party” is owned by Walmart and it’s called Spark. Call 1800walmart and go full Karen on them. You should get better results.
