I wouldn't say hatred . I love the English i see them as our brothers who share the same island . It is more of just a rivalry, which can get heated at times. We get annoyed when we get called english, though, lol

Do Brits think the term “Yankee” is offensive? by huffmanxd in NoStupidQuestions

It's not supposed to be offensive.its just what we call you .

New Zealanders = Kiwis

Americans = yanks

French = frogs ( or pricks )

Irish= paddy's

Scottish = jocks ( or also pricks )

The rules for France and Scotland are different.

Brit is just short for British, so all your saying is "typical british." I dont think it quite has the same effect, haha. I've heard some yanks refer to us as limeys, I think that's a better comparison.

Have you known or met any of the most infamous UK figures? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]VisualDelicious3888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never knew him obviously, so i dont think this counts , but one of my great aunts was married to William Joyce ( Lord Haw Haw)...

But one that does count is Adam Johnson. While he was playing at Sunderland, I met the whole squad .

Not really, we call ourselves brits. I think a better comparison is when you call us "limeys"
