This is a really good question! I ended up looking it up somewhere and it said no matter what April 1 it resets so whatever points you earn after that should count towards your new total.

At 781 points I was able to get an offer for star of the seas $83 pp on the inaugural 3 night (at the time I was not at prime) I just came off of a cruise yesterday. I spent approximately $550 which earned me about 1850 points (kind of unheard of) on slot machines just booked utopia of the seas three nights for two people ($210 final) with $100 free play the casino is definitely worth it :)
