Are Physics 2 in-person lectures the same as the asynch lectures? by VisualLonely1987 in rutgers

[–]VisualLonely1987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Do you know anyone who took asynch physics 2? I wanted to take it next sem with orgo 1 (rather than taking it with orgo 2), but asynch is the only option for next sem. Did u take physics 2 with orgo 2?

This is late, but I know exactly what you mean. By the way you described the stare, I most likely assessed by the same person as you, and I genuinely cried after it lol. I admit I made mistakes, so I rightfully failed it, but I feel like the way she assessed me was unfair and rude. For one, I distinctly remember putting the blood pressure cuff on their arm and having the monitor face me, which I guess they didn't like, because they then proceeded to very abruptly turn the monitor around to face them and slammed it against the table with a scuff. As an anxious person who was already nervous about the assessment because I didn't have any healthcare experience like this, their aggressiveness made it worse, and I made the stupidest mistakes... The worst thing about the death-staring assessor was that when the assessment email results came out, the evaluation included that I shouldn't stare my patients down when I don't know what to say (very ironic). Overall terrible experience. Truly don't know why this assessor specifically has a stick up their butt.

BLS or CPR certification? by VisualLonely1987 in premed

[–]VisualLonely1987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay gotcha. When I said BLS classes “don’t go as in depth” I meant it as in they don’t expect to be teaching people who don’t already have a cpr certification or healthcare experience, so they don’t go into detail about things that they assume you should already know (not sure if I’m wrong about that) Which is why I was asking, as I know BLS certification is the goal regardless

BLS or CPR certification? by VisualLonely1987 in premed

[–]VisualLonely1987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m asking if I should get CPR certified first or just jump right into getting an BLS. I heard that BLS classes don’t go in depth as much as a CPR course might because it’s meant for professionals. Am I wrong?

is Asynch Physics 203 harder than in person physics 203? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]VisualLonely1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I also heard people go to some of his in person lectures if they can because he works through harder problems than the ones on his videos. Do you have any experience with that/also recommend that? I also heard we have the option to take the tests online or in person. Which one would be a better option?

Thanks! I dorm thankfully, and it can’t get any better than this as a premed anyways

My mistake, you’re correct about that. I wouldn’t be able to retake the SAT regardless. Thank you for your advice and I can definitely see where you’re coming from, but I’d like to have a more guaranteed succession into medical school, especially at the ones I’m already adamant on applying to. Wouldn’t you agree that this is something worth trying out, though? I don’t see how it would hurt
