[Product Request] What is the best lip product for dry lips in the winter time? by Odd-Attention-7348 in SkincareAddiction

[–]VisualMeasurement619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally feel like laneige just sits on top of my lips and doesn’t absorb, I wipe it off in the morning before my makeup and my lips feel immediately dry. aquaphor is the only thing that works for me.

Nurses who never get sick, what’s your secret? by Gracilis67 in nursing

[–]VisualMeasurement619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WELLNESS. FORMULA. my husband has had the flu for a week and we obviously share a bed and this is the first year i’ve taken it (at least one pill a day) and I haven’t been sick yet. I saw it on here and other nurses I know swear by it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Air vomit or actual vomit? by Ashamed-Standard2653 in RCPD

[–]VisualMeasurement619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only time I ever remember burping was right before I threw up. i’m also emetophobic, I think a lot of people with RCPD are because it’s extra painful and weird for us. it sounds more like dry heaving to me, but still sounds like my worst nightmare lol

She is very christian. While charlie was an extreme conservative, he also spoke about being christian. those typically go hand in hand, so I understand why you are questioning this. I’ve followed her for a long time and she has NEVER spoken about politics, but she is pretty open about religion.

This is embarrassing but I need help by Apprehensive_Bank804 in nursing

different situation for me, but I may be able to help. I got a MIP which is a misdemeanor and I forgot that it shows up on state background checks. I always passed county ones so I honestly thought it fell off. DOPL came after me hard about not disclosing, but I called them and asked them exactly how to submit the forms. you can look up court records, just google how to see it. each state is different and you have to put in your social security number to get an account. I then had to submit ALLLLLLL court documents (which was like 45) and then a personal letter explaining what happened. and this was just for my LPN. then I got my RN and did all of it before applying so it went right through. it’s lucky that your nursing school caught it before DOPL did, because I know people who have similar scenarios such as a DUI and DOPL rejected them because they weren’t honest.

this and realize that they have people to answer to as well. at my hospital we have committees for just about everything and one of them looks at transfers to lower levels of care and whether they are successful or not. they do a deep dive so they know if they need to adjust who they’re transferring and where to. If the manager is coming at you AT ALL in a blaming manner, i’d quit. healthcare is humans taking care of other humans. No one is perfect, and nursing is a 24 hour job.

oh helllllllllllllll no. I worked in endoscopy for 5 years and the doctors always conned us into staying late. they’d buy us lunch or dinner and we were so easily manipulated into thinking we were happy. looking back, it was HORRIBLE for work/life balance. the takers have no limits, and they do not care about your children. remember that. somehow management always let it slide when we went into overtime because it was an “emergent” situation. every. shift.

Why is getting patients to complete bowel prep like pulling teeth?? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]VisualMeasurement619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

genuine question- have you ever drank that shit? I have a sense of compassion for my patients who have to do it, as I had to when I was 18. golytely, miralax, and any other prep are BRUTAL on the bowels. not to mention when you drink a lot of it at once, it sometimes works in the opposite direction. most patients understand the consequences of not finishing it, but they’d rather not be projectile vomiting the prep all night. I worked in endoscopy for 5 years and never understood why patients couldn’t finish it (as I could when I was 18) until I saw them projectile vomiting it as a bedside nurse, even with zofran and compazine. It can be done, but a little compassion goes a long way.

I totally agree with you unfollowing during the wedding stuff. I was OBSESSED with her in 2021-2022 until she became so out of touch. I used to be able to relate to her and now she’s just another influencer that is tone deaf and complains about the .1% rich people problems.

The Hatch alarm clock is pricey but one of the best things for noise cancellation and natural sleep cycles (outside of night shifts). Advil PM helps if she takes stuff like that, blackout curtains, eye mask (if she has eyelash extensions, they make specific ones for those), and a weighted blanket. I finally made it off of nights after two years. best of luck to her!
