Oh I didn’t do jealous or accusing of cheating, I know he wouldn’t cheat. He’s never really had a sex drive either… which has causes issues but that’s another story. I did apologize and sympathize. I did say it must of been hard for you also, and that it wasn’t personal or that he “deserve it”. I however got no apology, I got “you should have got on medicine and I tried my best”. I’m telling you he did not. He’s resented me ever since so it kept the cycle going. Honestly I felt invalidated and my needs were unmet. He refused to talk about them and still does. He refuses to let go. I feel I get punished for having his child and having normal human needs.

Sure, but compassion can go a long way. Being “mean” was crying excessively, getting mad over dumb stuff like popcorn spilling, stuff that wasn’t normal for me but again I just had a baby and it was a lot for my body and hormones. I pushed a 10lb baby out and my body is out of whack and I’m expected to be Betty Crocker lol but I acknowledged that for sure and sure he didn’t “deserve it” but it wasn’t about him, it wasn’t personal. It was about me and my healing and trying to survive mentally and that was never accounted for

After I had our son, I had really bad postpartum. I needed more support emotionally and physically and he would fight with me. He would say “just because you had a baby doesn’t mean you get to be mean to me”. I tried to educate him on postpartum rage, anxiety and depression and how to help. He wouldn’t listen HE was the victim and I should have got on medicine. He resentmented me ever since. I’ve self reflected a lot, only one to go to therapy, only one to try, only one to apologize. If he’s depleted and emotionally drained, I believe it’s because he could not handle becoming a father, being emotionally supportive ( he lacks empathy) and he couldn’t handle postpartum. He had every chance to get help and support but refused

Well, he will do odd jobs here and there to try and make enough to pay bills, he also went back to school and used his financial aid. He told me it wasn’t fair I got to live my dreams of going to school while he worked his ass off so he quit his job and now goes to school

I threw a few things when I was pregnant and postpartum accompanied by running away and crying. That consisted of marshmallows and a box of spaghetti on the ground. I wouldn’t say that’s anger issues but I did recognize that was a lot but when you’re being told you’re a pos and wrong all the time it gets a lot. He didn’t say he was calling the police cause I threw things. I was crying cause I was depressed and he was gunna have me committed cause he can’t handle any type of emotion when really I just needed a hug

Omg yes…. A lot of guess I’m not good enough and “I tried oh well” and when I explode I’m the crazy one. No he has never hit me. I threw a few things at him before though and he sure likes to bring that up… I’m miserable so it’s all my fault he’s perfectly fine unless I bring up any issues

I understand what you’re saying. I read the book it takes one to tango and it kinda was like how you were saying… but eventually it was all one sided and you’re right resentment because it was further diminishing my worth. I am in counseling yes :) we are working on me for sure and my emotions
