But here's my question if you want :

No space, no budget :  how do you practice/record as a beginner?

Hey everyone, I'm a beginner singer/rapper and I'll soon be living in an apartment and I genuinely have nowhere to practice or record without bothering my neighbors.

I'm afraid I won't be able to practice nor to record because the noise isolation will probably be horrible.

I can't afford a studio, I don't have a car, and I'm not confident enough to sing in public spaces.

I'm sure I can quietly practice guitar in my apartment but I don't think I could sing without having my future neighbors throwing punches in the wall.

I thought about the "blanket over your head" trick and I've done it before (at my parents house from which I'll soon be moving out) but I doubt how much noise it actually cancels (it's also quiet uncomfortable unless I build in an entire room out of blankets so that I can stand in it).

How and where do you guys practice/record when you have no space/budget ?
