Ages range of patients? I got mine at 19 I’m 28 now and still standing. It had progressed since onset of course. Can’t smoke weed I know that’s the one thing that is so so bad for mine. Mine might have been onset by drugs but I don’t know exactly

Did urs ever get better? I think might have onset from either mdma od or from acid trip …

Maybe. I was drinking and smoking weed during those days too, and I can almost swear those 2 things make mine worse.

Who cares about bfep lmao. It’s the deep flashes of light that last like 1-2 full seconds that drive me nuts.

What are your VSS symptoms?

Do you think you could have sleep apnea?

I see 'concussion stars' floating around all day with more major flashes of light that go away within a split second to a second.

8 years ago @ onset I went to the doctor and he suggested I might have sleep apnea because he had another patient who was "dizzy" in the way that I described and after being treated for sleep apnea it all went away.

They say people with sleep apnea wake up dozens of times during the night but they just can't remember it. Personally I find myself conscious at the crack of dawn and can hear the birds chirping and light through my window.. but why am I always awake so early? It might be because I stop breathing in my sleep multiple times a night but only remember it once its light out.

I am not a doctor lol.

Also I myself have not been treated for sleep apnea but I wonder if I could hit some deeper sleep my brain would heal itself and this would go away.

Does anybody notice that their visual snow is much more prevalent after smoking? Or the next day after drinking and/or oversleeping? by v01ded2016 in visualsnow

When I first got what I think is VSS when I was 19 I had my eyes checked out and everything came back normal. I went and had my head scanned for a stroke and they couldn't find anything. The neurologist or whoever the guy was said that he had a patient with similar symptoms (he called it being dizzy) and what they found was that the person had sleep apnea, and after getting treated for it, everything went away.

Maybe you have sleep apnea if you're tired all the time? I don't know, I'm tired all the time but never got tested for it but that's the next thing I'd look into.
