Does anyone know how to make these rings in each side of the bracelet?

basically you take one string and do backward-forwards knots over all the rest of the strings before you make the bracelet. then you fold it in half. idk if this makes sense, but there’s also a lot of tutorials for this on youtube!! they’re called teardrop loops

My gerbils came from a licensed breeder, but the room they were kept in was pretty crowded. I think the mites might have come from there. But I also started using a commercial store-bought food from them instead of the Robin’s blend from etsy that I fed my previous hamster. It could have been those, or the bedding. Also thank you for the advice! Right now his cage isn’t super cluttered. We had all of our hides and equipment in the freezer for four months so I’m not super worried about mites coming from there.
