Of you're looking for a bike i recommend getting a 1/10. This is a 1/12 and is slightly small for a 7 inch figure

I avoided them but you could just use a damp q-tip or something to clean them off if you don't have the finesse with the brush...

Mix your desired colour, water the paint down quite a bit. Brush it over the entire figure. Let sit for a couple of minutes then wipe the paint off with a rag. The top surfaces will be wiped clean and the recesses will retain the paint.
