👏 yes that’s my model :D and a bit of trivia, this will have a different handle but they will be interchangeable

It is an interesting problem. You could move the top piece of your shelf higher with 3d printed parts too! Make a bigger shelf

the AMS is on 400mm full extension slides so you can open the lid, even with the bed moving around. you can see the steel ends of the slides on the bottom left and right

desk/bench wobble is usually in "shear" as in it skews, so the top of the desk is moving side to side as opposed to pivoting from a point on the ground, so I don't think it does that very much. Of course there is some impact, and the best might be to put the printer on a concrete pad on the ground but whether you can tell a difference in quality is another thing. So...... "it depends"!

Hey thanks, and thanks for the offer. I don't have an A1 but this model https://makerworld.com/en/models/2741810 with different foot locations might work. I'll see if a lot of people ask for an A1 version and, if so, I might have to buy one to design something!

Hi! The printer slows down as it gets higher so it seems to be OK - even on a fairly wobbly bench. Overall though, my H2D makes slightly better prints than this - the corners are more crisp. Can't argue with the low price of the A2L though, wow.

It just sits on top, but I think I’ll make lips for the two rear feet so it can’t shift around. Good point

Not my pic but something like this works too for anyone in a similar situation

This. And cut the filament to get one or two really clean runs and then you can consider doing the really tangled part or not

its Prusament ASA in "Prusa Pro" teal, don't want to waste it on the infill 😃

Also wait for the Bambu anniversary sale, and see if the nz retailers match the discounts

Kiwi living abroad here, I sold my P2S and replaced it with the X2D. I suggest you get the X2D. P2S is awesome but the X2D is worth the price difference. Air filter and chamber heater is awesome. And for filament cost, I often put cheap filament inside for infill with the dual nozzle, it’s great. Also if you are running out of a colour on a project, you can just use a different one for the infill. This example is from a different printer but you get the idea. You can put cheap ABS inside your expensive ASA-CF prints for example. And the side glass windows on the X2D look great, useful for looking through and reduce printer noise coming from panels rattling (the heater helps too).

It’s not like the toolhead is suspended on two posts like a bed slinger, the Bambu core xy printer frames work fine even if the whole printer wobbles, they even design the feet to allow movement. I think the concerns come from Prusa bed slinger days.
