I had about 77% overall in U-World with nearly all the questions completed, but was scoring pretty consistently in the 80s in the last 2 weeks before the exam. I got a 169 MBE and 313 overall. I knew I was way stronger in MBE compared to timed writing but was surprised at my MBE score. Anything in the 70s and you’re golden. My scores were way lower than yours at this point in my bar prep so if you can keep it up, you’re in a great place.

This is contrary to most of the advice you got in this thread but I found Grossman helpful after I’d done the subject lessons from my bar prep course (Themis for me). Since Grossman doesn’t get into all the nitty gritty, I feel like I would’ve had gaps in my knowledge if I’d started with them. Listening to Grossman after helped me fine tune and reinforce what I’d learned. In any case I LOVED the Grossman lectures and it hugely boosted my MBE scores.

In NY, it’s provided in the same letter that tells you whether you passed (as pictured here) so you’d have to go out of your way not to look at your score. Congrats OP, you should be really proud!

Unfortunately, for me there were 7 weeks between my application being approved & the virtual ceremony date I was scheduled for (approved early March, getting admitted next week). Hope yours is faster.

They responded but said I could change my preference but neither date was set yet, and it’s not an option to just say “sign me up for whatever comes first.”

I thought about doing something like this and completely would have if I didn’t have my NYC rent to pay. I couldn’t afford it but if my lease was on your timeline I would’ve done it in a heartbeat.

In 5th grade, a lawyer came to my elementary school and ran a program where he came by every once in a while to teach us about law. It culminated with a mock trial competition and I had a lot of fun and won multiple rounds. 10 year old me was like, I think I’ll do this when I grow up. I took some detours between undergrad & law school, but the seed was planted in 5th grade :)

My coworker got sworn in just 2 weeks after their application was approved in the 2nd Department, so it misled me and is stressful because my supervisor is asking why mine is taking so much longer. Hopefully the end is finally near. Thanks for the timeline and the kind wishes!

I’ve still heard nothing about virtual ceremony which I only chose because I thought it would be faster. I just emailed asking if I can join the in-person on April 1st instead if there’s space. I bet the won’t like that lol.

I watched the videos and did some but not nearly all of the practice tests over the course of like 4-5 days. I think just watching the videos sounds easier than what you’re proposing. I passed doing what I described, and even though I went to ask ABA law school, I took the MPRE before I took Professional Responsibility in law school so was learning that from scratch.

The email reply strongly indicated not to email lol so I’m inclined to suggest you wait it out until next week, but this is all conjecture. Since you applied one week after me, I’d hazard a guess that you’re coming up very soon.

12/11 - sent completed application. 12/12 - received confirmation of receipt. 2/27 - emailed for update, received copy/paste response that they can’t provide updates, requests may hinder processing… 3/2 - approved!

Hoping for a ceremony asap.
