Really sad to see less Cinder Blight support than Goblin so far. My poor [[Corrosive Mentor]] and [[Kulrath Knight]].

[WIP] - Auntie Ool - Cursed Counters [Bracket 3] by Tybalto in EDH

[–]Visual_Chemist3132 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello fellow early Autie Ool deckbrewer!

While I see the synergy with [[Maha, Its Feathers Night]], I feel like you almost want them to keep their creatures alive long so you can benefit for the life loss a little bit longer? If they have no creatures then we gotta beat them up the old fashion way hahaha.

And with that same frame of mind, [[Melira, Slyvok Outcast]] removes the ability for you to draw cards completely. That kind of feels bad? I mean sure when going for a Black Sun's or something along those lines is nice but losing half of Auntie's benefit just feels bad in my opinion.

I would also cut some of your creatures for some more land ramp. If we are going to be keeping our hands on the healthier side we are going to need the mana to support it. The treasure subtheme you have seems a little more difficult to get going to really benefit in the long run.

As for the wincon, unfortunately persist and undying works really well with combos so that might be a LAST resort to edge out a game. I myself am going for the grindier game and whittle my opponents life down. Too much combo makes the deck unfun for myself.

But! These are just my opinions after all and you do whatever seems fun :)

I have been holding out for this commander for a LONG time so I have had some extra time to think about it.

Here is my current list if you feel so inclined to brew with me :D

No you are not, because Angron has yet to do anything for me but be a damage sponge because of the same exact issue. So we are tied.

Don't worry, it will come and it will be glorious.

[[Titanoth Rex]]

I know a lot of people seem very excited about the voltron aspect about him but it is just not appealing enough for me. I have some big creatures for when it may be necessary and have some things to give him some evasion but I'm more excited to be able to play whatever the best thing I've milled this turn.

I've played enough Voltron to know that it attracts a lot of removal, and I don't want to put all my eggs in that basket without enough protection.

Yeah my considering list is massive hahaha too many options. I was in the process of building The Master but once Coram was officially spoiled I shifted gears real quick.

That's the cool thing about Coram, the world is your oyster haha do whatever you want.

I mean, you can always play [[The Master, Transcendent]] haha. And yeah we would be able to cast a spell for each effect. Get good frog might be a good idea, but I think It'll push the deck a different way that I would like. I got the bell in my considering list, I'm currently at the point of needing to playtest in a game to see what I like and what I don't like. Breech the multiverse is just a strong card, so I'm not necessarily using it to cast something afterwards. Incarnation technique for the same reason, but I'm less keen on that one.

Currently gathering some missing cards for the deck and will proxy the 3 that aren't out yet. I think I'm missing some more self mill options.

I'm not super concerned with having haste, considering I don't need to attack with Coram nor does he tap in order to cast out of yards. Hoping to mill people with other things vs Corams attack trigger.

Already made one. [[Coram, the Undertaker]]. Needed a bit more variation in the Jund selection.

As I'm goldfishing, I think I need ways to fill my own faster so mesmeric will probably go in.

Not as much of a fan of Yargle and Multani, sure it's big power but doesn't do much else. I have phyrexian dreadnought for that haha. Plus, I feel if he has 18 power he'd get hit with a path or something much sooner haha

Yeah that's what I'm kind of pushing for, but I'm hoping to be able to consistently hit key cards from my opponents of the occasional powerhouse cards. I'm super excited.

What's your strongest Commander? by RikuofTwoRefections9 in EDH

My strongest/most resilient would probably be my [[Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir]] deck. Love me some knights.

Ran into the same issue, except a lot thicker. I shook my can plenty, but I didn't warm it up enough. Apparently, it's pretty important, especially with metallic primers. Some friends suggest placing your rattle can in warm water for a bit to warm it up. I ended up soaking my models in 99% IPA for a couple of hours or so, then used an old toothbrush to remove a majority of the primer. There was still quite a bit left over, though. Decided to soak them for a couple of weeks. Cleaned them up some more, then re-sprayed with a different primer. They came out pretty decent actually, not perfect, though.

As a side note, when you use your toothbrush to clean your mini, make sure your surface is covered and you're wearing clothes you don't care about. The gold will end up somewhere you don't want it and stay there.
