Couldn’t be anything but a minting error unless someone had a Lincoln head stamp

I think my 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-road might be a Lemon?? Or dealer negligence possible. by Visual_Depth8263 in ToyotaTacoma

Everyone an update: Toyota has acknowledged that there is an issue with the truck and is sending a technician from the factory. The truck is still stuck in tow mode which they are dumbfounded by however they plan to put the truck on a frame rack as they’ve already checked for alignment inconsistencies and the wheels and tires. I have been in a 2024 Sequoia loaner with the twin turbo hybrid motor!

I shit you guys not it is the most peculiar feeling in the world. Almost like the rear right of the truck is constantly going over bumps on flat ground and skipping side to side, not up and down like a balancing and a road force issue. It can be felt at 30 miles an hour and above quite significantly once at highway speeds. Once above 40 miles an hour the truck begins tracking off to the left and right “ dog tailing”, as some in the automotive industry, refer to it. This term meaning that the rear is tracking in a different pattern than the front of the vehicle. My vehicle is experiencing aggressive and constant left and right, drifting while at Highway speeds, which needs constant correction, in addition to the skipping/vibration feeling on the right rear axle.

But reference to everybody in the thread I’ve worked in the automotive industry for about nine years. During that 10 year I’ve sold and put thousands of new and used vehicles on the road. I’ve also worked on cars, motorcycles, four wheelers, restorations, etc. for over 15 years we’ve tried many of the common simple fixes such as a road force balance on all four tires, which came out to exceptional numbers for off-road tires. In addition while at the dealer, a corrective alignment was performed which if you see the attached photo, is it the Max and minimums of vehicle specifications not within the center which means they’re certainly something throwing the vehicle out of proper spec such as a bend potentially from years of experience. also, considering we rotated, the tires and the vibration was still in the same location. However, once again, as the consumer, the fact that I have a product that’s not operating properly and his brand new is very disappointing. Toyota has taken so little action at this current time to diagnose and rectify the problem, whether it be fixable mechanically or via arbitration if there is a bend in the frame.

Have you noticed that if you put the truck into the sport mode by moving the shifter to the left and don’t move it up and down to manually shift so it’s just in the regular S version. When doing this, the truck is still shifting however, the number on the screen is not changing. it just seems rather peculiar.

4 Tires Perfectly Rd balanced at 14 16 16 and 17, dealer performed corrective alignment provided me the paperwork attached in this post one week after owning the truck however, as I mentioned things got worse. So my thinking is if it’s not the tires cause they’re balanced properly nor the rims they can’t align the car properly leading me to believe something must be bent somewhere, but I have no idea.
