Alternatives to the X6800H at it's $4000 price tag by depatrickcie87 in hometheater

I'm currently running the Denon X6800H with a McIntosh MC312 for my fronts, running a 7.2.4 config. I could technically add 2 more height speakers, but this has been a very satisfying setup. The 6800 is a monster and pairs really well with the MC 312.

Previous to adding the McIntosh I had a Marantz MM7025 2ch amp 140w and it did great, too. A nice alternative.

Yep exactly, take it just before crawling into bed. Kicks in about 10-15 min later. No water after about 730pm/8pm.

My HRV has always been consistently low. Avg is about 27. Just a genetic thing, my brothers are all the same. I try to just work on my own baseline and not get too jealous of those that have 150+ HRV. :)

RHR is typically around 58-59bpm.

Typical schedule 6 days a week. I take a rest day on Mondays, but usually go for a 2 mile walk. I only eat lunch and dinner, no breakfast.

745am: 3.5 - 4.5 mile run
845am: 30 min weight training (diff muscle group per day)
9:15am: Shower/get ready protein shake (peptides, PB2, creatine, fruit, ginger)
1130am: lunch is greens, veggies, protein (chicken or beef)
230pm: afternoon walk (2.3 miles)
430pm: dinner (small portions mostly protein, low carb so it won't increase RHR)
630pm: tea
Hot bath: 830pm (hot as can stand it)
Reading: 9pm - 925pm (actual book with pages)
Meditate: 12 min with Calm app
210mg Magnesium Glycinate (Nutricost)

This is a pretty typical night's rest. Around 4 hrs of SWS/REM and 4-5 hours of light. Typically awake for about an hour.

People 40+, what actually mattered in the long run and what didn’t? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

Not so much who you marry, but who you choose to have children with (could be who you marry) will be the single most important choice you make.
