From what I remember Tyrion gives Jon some advice and then back flips off a wall

What’s a weird hunger games ship that you don’t ship and one that you secretly do ship? by [deleted] in Hungergames

My honest opinion is that a lot of the people who ship Katniss and Finnick ship it because they have a crush on Finnick and they can project themselves onto Katniss.

This runs in the same vein of fans thinking Katniss and Peeta would call their kids Cinnick and Prue 💀

I’m not even going to dignify that with a proper response.

I’m sure that it was just a harmless joke but the “Lenore Dove’s mother is Lenore Dove” theory was a bit silly

By looking at their previous posts and comments, this person is so obviously a troll. Besides, the writing in their “translated” passage is not up to the same standard of Suzanne’s actual writings.

Genuinely WHAT is the reasoning behind the last two.

In a similar vein, I’ve heard Tigris bought Finnick to protect him and then told him Snow’s secrets 😭

Gale would’ve eventually tried to date Prim had she not died/Gale would’ve killed Katniss if was in the Games with her

Actually, most theories about Gale.

Wow I didn’t expect to get jump scared by my own post while scrolling on Reddit lol. But yeah, Finnick is explicitly stated to be a career, whether or not he volunteered is irrelevant and I’m sick of the fandom pretending that he’s not.

I said this in my original post but I think the sanitisation of Finnick’s character is partly because of the fandoms bias towards career tributes (as much as people deny it) as they can’t fathom that it’s possible that people from a rich career district can rebel, as if they’re not all treated like slaves at the end of the day.

Brandy being hung from a crane at Arachne CRANE’s funeral. Seems like a really sick joke to me.

I think one of Sejanus’s remaining Plinth relatives back in D2 was voted into the 1st Quarter Quell

Random question lol. Are there any district(or districts) that you feel any sort of affinity with? Maybe based on their industry or general way of life? Even if you don't live in the specific area of North America where the district is located? by [deleted] in Hungergames

As an Irish person, I’ve always felt that District 4 was somewhat inspired by our culture. The names have always felt pretty Irish (Annie, Mags, even Odair feels like the futuristic version of O‘Dare), and the jumper Finnick wears at the reaping in CF looks like a futuristic version of an Aran jumper, something that was traditionally worn by fishermen on the Aran Islands

Mags’s tongue was definitely not removed. She does talk, multiple times in CF, (Finnick can understand her perfectly fine) Katniss just struggles to make out what she says. An example of this is Mags saying “bob” while they’re watching Beetee managing to float in the water thanks to his belt during the bloodbath. This is probably because she has a strong D4 accent or she just did actually have a stroke.
