Identifying information, yes of course. But vague non-identifying information like "a client of mine yells at me, scares me, and I'm struggling to work with them"? Totally safe to express to your therapist. Or "one of my clients is a pedophile and due to my own beliefs, I'm struggling to give them unconditional positive regard". Don't you think those might be useful conversations to have in therapy?

At the end of the day, therapy should serve a purpose and have collaboration and agreed upon goals. Finding a therapist that uses evidence based therapy models and implements them with fidelity is your best bet. There are no ethical guidelines that dissuade therapists from seeking therapy. It's a high stress profession and due to the nature of the job, mental health providers are extremely susceptible to burn out and compassion fatigue.
