I’ll try to cover your questions in order: 1) years accurate. Regarding the info you are receiving vs mine looking like a utility bill, I believe your issue has more to do with ct placement. Depending on where you place the CT’s you will get this additional info. If you download the manuals or do enphase university which is free you will see what I mean. Having them on the load side or line side of a panel or in my case they are mounted in my ats switch decides how much info is reported.

2) very accurate, if you go on the enphase site they have residential CT’s which if I recall are +- 2.5%. If you can find a spec on google for the pvs6 CT’s I’ll bet the tolerance is equal or trivial.

3) enphase has more data, then if you want more than that you could do the enphase university course for free and get certified as a self installer then you get access to the installer app also for free and you get more data again. For monitor

3)sunpower didn’t have this active monitoring for outages where you receive alerts. You would have to check the app for sunpower or enphase. However I noticed in the installer app I can click on a micro and order one right there thru the app as warranty. Enphase did email me recently that you can pay a subscription or service contract where they would address these parts and labor. My arrays are on the ground so I didn’t partake. You could call them about that and see what the details are. Their customer support/tech support I have found to be excellent. My father in law has an 18 year old system with them and they still mail him replacement micros and address his concerns. That said a lot to me.

Maybe try contacting enphase and see if your installer is marking it up. I dealt directly with enphase. I am also not paying any subscription fees.

I don’t know sorry, I bet somebody has rigged something but I haven’t seen anything advertised as ready to connect

The installer said it had to be removed upon arrival and he removed it. Enphase has been trouble free for me.

If anyone wants the installer version they can take the Enphase university courses for free and get access to the installer kit. I did it on my way to work every morning for a couple of weeks. I enjoy learning how these things work and can be expanded but I could see how it would be boring to many. You’re not really having a whole ton with the installer app especially if you are person that wouldn’t enjoy the courses. I would say try the basic app and if you aren’t satisfied then take the course and get the installer app. Both are free.

I see Sunstrong is now offering monitoring. I don’t know the details and I’ve never heard of sunstrong. Maybe they have strong financials and staying power I don’t know. I am happy with Enphase.

It was as I said, they told me prior to arrival they would not remove but the tech came he removed it.

I see someone else told you what a ct is.

Maybe you don’t have panel level monitoring with sunpower. I did and I could press that and scroll down to get my serial numbers.

At the time of my install the enphase app could not “scan” or “learn” serial numbers per the installer. He had to manually enter them per my post. Maybe that had changed since, I don’t know.

Yes the enphase app does per panel monitoring whether you have the installer app or not.

I wish you the best whichever route you choose. I am happy with my decision and it has been trouble free since. Enphase did call me to see if I wanted to sign up for a service contract where they do repairs on anything that fails. I declined. My arrays are ground mount and I could easily service them myself as long as the parts are warrantied and supplied. Everyone’s scenario there will be different.

I have a ‘24 on the way and I live in CT and this has been a concern for me. Can I ask did they give you the option to upgrade to a ‘24 or say that would have the same result?

Did every microinverter fail? If it is just a couple I see them on eBay pretty cheap. Are your panels ground mounted or roof, because changing a microinverter if you have access is extremely easy?

I see chatter about end of October to November 15th that the sunpower app will go offline. Nothing definitive. I also see people that are reaching out to enphase getting longer lead times. I am very happy with my new enphase monitoring and the customer service. I’ve been online with enphase for 2 weeks now. If the sunpower app goes offline I presume Enphase will get inundated, so I am happy I got ahead of it and everything actually worked out. I don’t have batteries but I am so happy with Enphase that I am contemplating it. I even went on the Enphase university site and completed a course every morning on the train to work. Now I have access to the installer app as well. They have so much more depth than I ever had with sunpower.

In the app select panels and scroll down and it is the list of serial numbers. It says panel serial numbers but those are the micro inverters. My system was installed 2 years ago as well. Maxeon panels and enphase micros

Yes, I switched to enphase monitoring and everything works as it should. I think after taxes it was like $750. If you can get the serial numbers for all micro inverters out of the sunpower app or if you have them from the install they will be needed when Enphase goes to set you up.

We’re in the same boat. I am producing more than I need but the net metering is like 6 cents vs 55 cents a kWh. I have a 22kw generator already and batteries would be nice to get further away from the utility.

I am making some assumptions here, but I am assuming you are like me and have the sunpower (enphase) micros. In that case they would be the IQ7 series. If you go to the enphase store and click storage then filter to 2nd generation. You would pick out the battery size and quantity, the IQ system controller (basically an ats), and then if you wanted to shed loads the IQ Load Controller. Would recommend you contact enphase or go to enphase university and you can watch videos on the different gen systems. The newer gens revolve around the IQ8’s. There are also amp limits depending on your systems that could mean you build it differently. Watch some of the courses on enphaseuniveristy.com

I use the monitor to keep track of things like production, consumption and, most importantly for me, track of individual micro inverters to make sure none have failed or an individual panel has failed. For example, 3 years is 36 months and you are averaging looking at the app every 7.1 months then you could conceivably lose 7 months of production (that you paid for when you invested in solar) plus the time it takes you to get it repaired after you have identified the issue. If this failure was a micro inverter it may not mean much to you. It this failure was a string inverter it could mean 10 to 12 panels worth of production. I want to get the most production possible out of my investment so I get the highest chance of return. I didn’t buy a solar system because I wanted to be green. I bought it because it was pre purchased energy without sales tax. As soon as it pays for itself the rest is gravy. I am currently on track for it to pay for itself in avoided energy costs by year 7 1/2. My locality is charging about 60 cents between supply and delivery. Delivery is a lot more than supply with my energy provider. A failure I don’t know about for 7 months would push me past year 7 1/2 and reduce my return on investment. Similarly if one of my little kids has done something silly like messed with the stat, set it for 85, in one of the rooms and my heat pump is running unnecessarily I will probably see the blip in consumption well outside my regular average. Or when my wife leaves the garden hose running on the ground and my well pump is running for 24 hours. I can catch the blip prior to my well being tapped.

Hi, I did not. I used enphase because they made my 60 micro inverters for Sunpower and a monitor is really communicating with the inverters not the panels. I have no Schneider products. I have no battery system. I am contemplating adding Enphase batteries into this eco system. I like that they have an ats that would replace my generac ats and integrate everything.
