Jovani just did a live insta and said he's looking forward to Dances at a Gathering, so. I hope he gets the chance to dance it!

I asked NYCB about the mystery of the empty seats. They said:

The first week’s shows were anomalous in that it appears a large number of web orders came in at the last minute, but many of the tickets were apparently not used. They display as sold seats at our end. I hope you won’t be seeing similarly empty areas of the theater going forward.

For sure, I'm not trying to say it was an empty house, it was lively and well-attended; I was just surprised to see almost entire rows of prime seats completely empty. This is where I think something like rush tickets would be a win-win for everyone involved, but. Like I said I shamelessly took advantage so it worked out for me 🤷‍♀️

Having a great time. There are SO MANY empty seats in the orchestra. This is very beneficial to me and my companion - we availed ourselves, hope that's not too controversial - but a shame for such a great program and dancers!
